Eminent domain is BS

Came accross this today, and it made fume with anger. I knew of a guy in my avionics shop when i was in the navy that had this happen to him. Basically the local county stole half his land to build a seldom used road that magically had oil underneath. He faught the county in court, they offered him a pitance to sell and ended up taking the land anyways. Here is another lengthy discussion on eminent domain: www.independent.org...

That Faux news piece just screams for people to back off. It's pretty disgusting in itself, but the line about, you ain't gonna win, that takes the cake. Corruption everywhere.

I don't disagree, the truth is the truth. It's damn hard to fight those bastards in government. They will not give up without a fight and they do have unlimited amounts of money, ours. It almost seems like eminent domain is just a tool to punish.

I remember a story a few years ago. Judge ruled imminent domain meant they could take property and turn it into a more tax revenue generating thing.
So the defense team applied for imminent domain on the judges historic home.

Never heard anything after, anybody know? Guessing was East coast area.
