Have we reached the point in these United States of America, where someone of accomplishment and distinction cannot, or should not attempt, to simply
speak their mind freely while the President of the United States happens to be in attendance?
Dr. Ben Carson gave a speech at a breakfast meeting, while Mr. Obama was sitting at the table a just few feet away. It is being reported that
somebody from The White House called Dr. Carson shortly after the breakfast meeting, indicating that Mr. Obama was "offended" by Dr. Carson's remarks,
and that Dr. Carson should call Mr. Obama and apologize.
Dr. Carson was Invited to speak at the breakfast meeting, but apparently he did not "tow" the preferred political line desired by those who simply did
not like what he had to say.
What does this say about our current state of politics in the U.S. ? Does Dr. Carson owe President Obama an "apology" because he simply said what he
Was this an attempt to silence Dr. Carson or any other American who disagrees with the powers in Washington D.C. ?
