The regional council in Lugansk, which represented Kiev’s authority in the region, has voluntarily disbanded and handed power over to the people, UNN reports, citing local media.
After the majority of the region’s population supported cutting ties with Kiev in a referendum over the weekend, the National Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic addressed MPs, saying that the regional council must be dissolved as it has lost its legitimacy.

I heard a commentator suggest that there may be some regions in the east that have a majority of Ukrainian are not interested in the Kiev gang and are also looking to become more autonomous .Seems that it's not just the Russian speaking Ukrainians that want nothing to do with the coup Govt .They may ,in the end decide that Russia has more to offer them ...Kiev has mentioned meetings or there is rumor to that effect that they are willing to talk ,but it hasn't been confirmed yet . a reply to: Vovin
