It almost looks like a pipeline valve key fitting to control flow......darn lol! I can see a lingering but faded memory of one of those when pipelining was being introduce in one Province on a massive scale in 1980. yet almost looks like a specific fitting used to turn off or one pipeline valves at one of the biggest Hydro electrical damns we have in THIS Province built to completion in 1985 0r 1986, & supplies most of canada and the USA with electricity......it's just not quite kicking in yet....on the edge of a conscious thought lol!

Cool! thanks for the challenging "what is it".

Here is my last one. If in the end the image quality is just too bad, I understand. But for those that would like to try, the simple answer "a screw" will not suffice. You'll have to nail this one.
