Bottom line.

People are free to watch and think and vote as they see fit.

Or aren't they?

Is anyone suggesting otherwise? Your shrugging of the shoulders screams volumes though. Don't you care about accurate portrayals of reality? Or are you happy with lies if it confirms your bias?

Everyone has bias.

Or are you the only one that is perfect as has a singular understanding of reality?

I don't know if there's none. I get that no journalist can be 100% unbiased but there are plenty who report facts even if they don't like them. TYT is pretty good, I'd name others but I don't want to cause a freak out... atm anyway.

Obviously... not.

I didn't realize though that being able to see through bias and think about all sides of an issue, had become considered perfection. How sad.

Further... how can a person ever even begin to approach information rationally if the information they are receiving is completely bogus?

Yet you criticize people with a bias that runs counter to you.

Watch Fox.
Watch MSNBC.

To each his/her own.

But any attempt to silence Fox or MSNBC and you're nothing but a small minded pig who wallows in the stench of their own filth!

Thus sayeth the beez.

Yes, just as they should be allowed to be said, openly and in public.

So that someone can point out the ignorance of the lie.

I like it when you can see the opposing sides view point out in full ignorant display for all to see.

That goes for any situation really, not just "news".

Its sorta the opposite of " its better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it"

I get, the "lets not let idiots vote" or "lets control what influences the Idiots" Fox news is the later form of it.

Hell, Id be the first to require say a standard IQ or Citizenship test before voting, good thing I am not in charge of that though because that is not the Ideals this country was founded on.

Everyone has a right to expound their views and opinion, no matter how ignorant they may be.

Who grades the tests?
Who writes the tests?

Remember, it was Stalin that said it's not the voter who counts.

It's the one who counts the votes.

Silence? No. Hold accountable? Yes. There was a time in this country when the Press had to report facts and if they got it wrong they would be in trouble. The corporate buyout of the Press has changed all of that and you're just totally cool with that.

If you want to put words in my mouth, I'll gladly just give you my logon info.

By all means, hold them accountable.

I'll hold MSNBC accountable as well.

There is no press that reports facts.

That type of reporting died when Kennedy did.

The truth? You want the truth? Or do you want YOUR version of the truth?

Fox and its friends seem to have become so influential and all-encompassing that it is actually creating an entirely separate version of reality in the minds of its most loyal viewers, one that with increasing frequency doesn’t match reality.

Exactly what I have been saying. Fox has it's own version of reality..and all conservatives seem to live there.
I really don't feel like reading that whole article on that trash site Salon. It's my understanding that when initiating a thread one must at the very least provide their own commentary and summation of what they're linking to. Even liberals should understand that premise.

Which is why I said its a good thing Im not in charge of.

I can hold opinions, that I know directly oppose the Ideals of the government I believe in.

So, I believe in the system we have, because people like me would use it to their own ends otherwise.

You are just upset its not in the method and ways you would like, Education over ignorant dragging by the nose.

I want the truth. Nothing matters more than the truth of anything. If you don't base your opinions and actions off of truth then you are just a puppet on a string.

Fine hold accountable,

Whats the penalty, who determines technical truth over a twisting?

Fox, MSNBC, CNN, all the outlets have gotten so good at "phrasing" to watch for slander and liable.

www.factcheck.org...

Every channel, every "side" lies.

If all are lying, none are honest.

If you hold FOX accountable, you would have to hold all,

To aim at FOX, this OP ignores the blantently obvious to all.

THE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS are all owned by a small group of Corporations,

And have nothing to do with "news" its entertainment.
