The real question is; why would any intelligent person belong to either side or limit themselves to one point of view?

imo, those that limit themselves to a single ideology, aren't "intelligent people"....they think they are intelligent and making rational decisions but in actuality they are the products of clever propaganda, misinformation and greed driven agendas.

Unfortunately that isn't far from the truth.
But then again, under the guise of comedy, you can actually be more honest. Time honored fact.

Yep Satire has served for excellent social and political commentary, sometimes its the only place you can see the truth and how insane it all is.

(from article)

I'm a card-carrying member of the ACLU. Here's what happened when I watched 3 hours of Fox every day for a month

LOL

There's the answer !!!

The author must be engaged in an experiment for suicide.

Reading the entire article however may be "suicidal" in itself.

Very therapeutic !!

Where's the hypnotic video

I can change the channel all I want but I still have to live and vote with people who won't. There's a huge problem if 50% of people don't vote and then 50% of the people that do have no goddamn idea what is reality... and then there's the Democrats.

That's why we have FEMA camps!

For all those people that don't agree with you!

Easy-peasy!

Well, if I am to believe the media and the internet, Both my wallet and my head should of exploded when I signed up for the ACLU and NRA at the same time.

In fact, according to some people I must be a unicorn, you know for not having strict black and white political views that fall along the predetermined teams...

I love when people like the author start throwing around their memberships, big deal...

Its not Mensa, no one has to pass a test to join the ACLU. (meaning it doesn't make someone a bastion of civil rights and moral superiority)

Exactly! I think that's why FOXcons are flipping out over Colbert replacing Letterman. Real news might make it to Network television.

So is the problem the idiots who vote, or all the idiots that Dont...

I'm not sure whats a harder proposition, educating the small vocal rabid Minority that still vote (and mostly on party lines)

OR

Getting the disenfranchised and apathetic to care enough to engage the system...

Both seem like a losing battle.

I have no problem with people that disagree with me. I have a huge problem with people that are completely outside reality and vote.

Bottom line.

People are free to watch and think and vote as they see fit.

Or aren't they?

To be honest, Fox is far fromperfect but they may be one of the only MSM conglomerates that is even even a little critical of Obama--and I respect them for that.

Sounds to me like you're happier with MSNBC's alternate reality--in which Obama is the great, wise savior who defends the weak and provides free healthcare to all deserving people.

Is anyone suggesting otherwise? Your shrugging of the shoulders screams volumes though. Don't you care about accurate portrayals of reality? Or are you happy with lies if it confirms your bias?

Key word is "seem".

The death of the 4th estate is part of the "seem" part.

No news organization reports the news with out a spin.

And that "Spin" is divide and conquer.

If everyone thinks voting is a sham, they won't vote, the numbers reflect that.

So who votes, those that think they have a horse in the race.

ENTER FOX NEWS, or MSNBC, or CNN, its all the same.
