So my computer has been hacked and a good majority of photos have been altered. Everything was fine until I started posting on this site. Now most of my photos (personal and of what I believe to be UFO) are useless.

I don't know why I am surprised. Judging from the level of immediate aggressive discrediting, I should have known better. Again, this is what happens in this country when you try to do the right thing. It is met with a systematic crusade to have your word mean nothing and your life in shambles. And the people who are supposed to protect us do nothing about it.

What is else is new?

I will say this, though: If any of you out there have what you believe to be true evidence of anything paranormal or UFO related, keep it as far away from this site as possible. Because it doesn't seem to be a safe place for truth. Not really. Not bashing ATS, just stating an opinion.

Why do you assume its someone from ATS? Maybe if you protected your machine a little better and stopped downloading all that porn you wouldn't have this problem.

A lot of people bring their findings here and have no problems with security. Maybe you should take your blame game somewhere else.

You maybe able to recover some of your files using an undelete program like this.

It can recover not only deleted files but other stuff to. You maybe able to recover some of the files before they were altered assuming the altered version didn't overwrite the same place on the disc...

The problem is the NSA use quantum computers to do their deleting...they can now delete information before it was even written in the first place!

Seriously though OP...always make backups on a separate drive(s), not connected to your network or the internet...they can only get those if they physically send the boys round to your home.

And while it's easy to assume everyone here are on the 'payroll', they're not...well most of them aren't. Many are just bone heads who cannot face life if there's a chance some faceless and annonymous person somewhere on this planet doesn't think they are absolutely brilliant, so they use that brilliance continually attempting to leave no doubt in our minds

Although...there have been IP traces done on this website and they did seem to go back to (shhhh...) Langley, Virginia.

I don't like to ever be "The mean guy". But....if someone did hack into his computer and altered the photos, they did it to make them interesting and /or controversial. Sorry for the mean moment.

When the cloud people were floating by me this morning I asked them why they hacked your computer and they told me that you were irresponsible by showing and telling the world about them, and they are pissed.

Why would anyone want to steal your pics, especially of clouds?

I assume this because it happened right after I posted here. I don't download porn. And maybe if sociopathy wasn't encouraged, then this wouldn't happen. And again, another person who's comprehension skills are a little lacking. I actually blamed myself.

Actually, you're very typical of ATS. You screw something up, then blame someone else. The idea that as a result of you visiting an online forum your own computer is screwed up is laughable. This site did nothing to your computer. No one here did anything to your computer. Whatever happened to your computer came from your own inept hands. Try taking responsibility for that rather than come whining onto ATS blaming everyone but the true culprit: You.

It's okay, it's a dry humor I can at least appreciate. You know, I honestly don't care what it is up there any longer. Even if you didn't believe my "evidence", I took some good photos that are now ruined. Of a personal and professional nature. Some of which I was planning on using for exhibition. Gone. Either blurred out or altered to make any of the beings look mean and threatening.

And I am not holding a website responsible for my decision to post. I just comment on how unfortunate this country has become. I love this country more than one would think and if anything is my fault, it's that I expected better from it's people. From all people.

I am trying really hard not to be bitter about this.

What's laughable is that you think you know enough about the situation to make such an statement. Or that you have such strong words when you can't even retain the details of my original post. For whatever happened to your computer and files I can understand your anger and apologize for my comment. As a rule I usually wont step on people's feelings. I remembered post you had made with the cloud pictures and remembered an old South Park episode where they building a tower to heaven to get a winning ticket from Kenny. The government got involved and recon photos of clouds became Saddam Hussein building a chemical weapons plant in Heaven. Though it was just pictures of clouds they were planning a full scale military strike on Heaven.
It was completely hilarious.... Sorry those post reminded me of that and I let my joking side go over to the dark side.
