I appreciate the heads up!
I appreciate the word POSSIBLE in the headline and S&F for a balanced view.
Yellowstone is active with some unusual happenings ..... But:
Honestly, we only have a few hundred years of detailed history and only a few decades of real scientific study with modern equipment.
Yellowstone has been there since man lived in caves.
We simply do not have sufficient information to call anything. We will get more info after it blows its top, but seriously, just info on that one
There are two possibilities
One is a steam event. This one is considered by many to be 'overdue'. It would be very dramatic affecting the three states that surround it.
The other is a major eruption, who knows when, tomorrow or five thousand years from now. This would put pressure on our survival as a species.
Lastly, the Government is not going to cry wolf and frankly, as a Government, would rather everyone die as opposed to having several million homeless
evacuees to deal with. One big funeral event and they can get back to their normal shenanigans.
Any uptick in methane releases, I know you keep an eye on this!
