When will there be a "Cochrane Moment"?

The Cochrane Moment would be the time that aliens make public contact with the human race. Whether it be through a space ship descending on the world, or as message broadcast through space is to be seen, but the core point is the world has undeniable proof there is currently a alien intelligent civilization.

I think it's coming when we travel faster then the speed of light. I think NASA will pull that off in 5 years or less...

It will never happen. Ever. There is enough evidence all around. This is a planet of people who dont agree on anything.

In the ATS thread here called "AMA" (ask me anything) I asked Dr. Stanton Freidman (look up the thread). He agreed. It wont happen.

The Cochrane moment will be the greatest moment in all of human history, and it would be great if it happened soon.
