"State Capitol - Secretary of State Joe Meyer released some preliminary information regarding voter
turnout at the General Election. “Not all county canvassing boards have met yet, in fact, most meet on
Friday,” Meyer said. “However, it appears from the unofficial results, as if the voter turnout for
Tuesday’s election was approximately 106 percent,” Meyer said. “That means that 106 percent of the
number of people registered to vote prior to the election actually voted. It is possible to have a voter
turnout of more than 100 percent because Wyoming statutes allow voters to register at the polls on
election day. Of those people eligible to vote in Wyoming, 65 percent did so. “This was an exciting
election day in Wyoming, with many people registering at the polls,” Meyer said."
