I'm aghast! I'm appalled! I'm astounded!
A POLITICIAN lied to you? You don't say!
I mean this must be the first time in US HISTORY, that an elected official would lie to the public! I guess it's never EVER happened in the history of this great nation before has it?
And lied to YOU?
Oh dear. Directly? To your face?
Heaven forfend! How did that come about?
Please recount your harrowing story of betrayal as Obama personally lied to YOU. -

Having nothing to do with the economic addresses that Obama is going to give. This is how FOX News subtly influences it's readership to go against anything this administration tries to do.

Don't be fooled, this was no accident, this is done on purpose to influence your decision on this issue. Your thread regarding being lied to.

Oh me, oh my!
This must be the first time in the history of your young life that you have been deceived by any media outlet, anytime, ever.
Please calm down, as one being deceived by any media outlet is such an obscure event,
that to believe it even happened to anyone, anywhere, anytime,
is such a random occurrence that you are all but guaranteed,
having experienced it once,
to never have to suffer such a traumatic experience again.

Let me see if I can play this game.

My car needed to be repaired today.

I am SOOOOO angry at Obama.

At least, I must be because I'm a conservative, so the OP is sure I must somehow feel it's all Obama's fault.

This should be put in political rivalries. This post is blatant junk. Hell all it amounts to is your political opinion. I suppose the powers that be will allow this to stand. It furthers their agenda. If you get my drift.

I'm libertarian, but that must not be close enough to conservative because I couldn't give a crap what Obama does. So how exactly is this supposed to irritate me? Oh I get it ! You mean it will irritate conservatives when he uses this shooting to push for gun control. I can see how it would please you to have Obama further strip American's of more of their rights, But I fail to see how this benefits you. Am I missing something?

As a Conservative, It's right and Presidential for President Obama to go..... that's what Presidents are supposed to do. He also did it in 2009 at the first Fort Hood Shooting.

Much better than his rant against the Ryan Proposals.... Stinkburger or Meanwich.....very Presidential there.

That still doesn't mean I support his political Objectives overall......

As whatever the hell I am anymore the BIGGEST problem with that is:

If OBama, and his party had their way there would be no military, and thus by extension no military bases.

ALSO

If Obama and his party had there way guns would be outlawed in this country like our biggest banker has done.

People all over the globe would still be waging war, and people would still die hand the hands of someone using a gun.

And one of the sources they would be getting them from is one of the largest ARMS sellers in the world.

As an "Anti Political Party Member" and an "Independent Voter", you sure seem to be rather one sided.

Truth tends to be one sided that way, it's disappointing to a lot of people.

Actually sounds a bit Tea Party, of course their beliefs have been ridiculed and skewed by the very huffington post (how non-partisan of you) use to prove your non-partisan point in your o.p.

If the TEA Party were what they wanted to be then yes. But I am talking about 1960's era Conservatives.

Unfortunately the TEA Party is just another political arm of FOX News and it's subsidiaries. This is why TEA Party folks never fight to raise taxes on the 1% instead want to lower their taxes. (hmm, doesn't seem to have worked even though it's been implemented several times)

So far you have bashed the right FAR more then you have bashed the left, hard to view you as an independent voter

I do, and that's because they deserve it.

There is a conspiracy here, those of you who don't seem to want to see it.

You're being told to hate Obama, but why? Yes, he is a corporate oligarch. Look at what they want you to complain about? Michelle's ideas on nutrition? Is that really an issue? Gays? Do any of you really care? Seriously, look at what these people want you to hate.

And look who they want you to defend, companies? corporations? They call them "job creators" but the simple truth is, small business in this country are the backbone of our economy. But instead, these people want to give YOUR rights to multinational corporations, wants to give them the right to put MORE money into the already corrupt political process. At the same time they want to curtail the general population from being able to vote freely.

Aren't you getting it?

Meanwhile you all are hating everything about this administration they tell you to. They tell you to jump, you ask how high. They give you two minutes of hate in each and every program trying to get you to support THEM!

They tell you that Obama wants to take all your guns away, but is that really true? Gun sales since this president took office are higher than ever. Doesn't seem like the actions of a tyrant trying to take your guns away. I imagine they could have taxed the hell out of firearms or bullets till it isn't feasible for anyone to sell them.

But no, here we go again, Obama is going to do SOMETHING, and they are going to tell you to hate him for it. Ever notice that no matter what this president does, they tell you to hate him for it? And what boggles my mind is that you all buy it and do it on their command. Do you guys even think about this? Take each action on it's own merits and decide for yourself whether or not it's good or bad? Or do you just step in line with these people telling you exactly what to think?

Just think about it won't you?

Well now that you changed your avatar and your custom title it makes more sense.

Now we wont get confused by your heavily left bias, since we won't be under the impression that you are an independent

The left deserve just as much bashing as the right, it is all the same

I don't see why it's anybody's business who attends a memorial and why..? Even Bush went to NY after 9/11.... The President obviously can't please everybody, but I'm sure the families at Ft. Hood will appreciate his presence.

I hope so, unfortunately, like Westboro Baptist Church, conservatives will use this tragedy to further their agenda to pursue hate and vitriol against this president.

Keep an eye on the media on Wednesday, (I know I'll be watching FOX News closely) I am willing to bet that they try and use this tragedy to try and take Obama down a peg. Furthering their own political agenda in the process. Respect for the dead? Not while this president presides over this nation.

Of course a group will use this to push an agenda.

anti-Obama people will say he doesn't belong there even though he IS the Commander-in-Chief. (makes no sense)

Anti -gun people will use this as reason to try to get rid of guns. Glossing over the fact that it ended when the shooter was confronted by a person with a gun (makes no sense)

Bottom line is using tragedies to push an agenda makes no sense, no matter who does it

And how exactly does a bunch of conservatives or neo-conservatives being angry have an effect on your life? It's clearly their problem, not yours, so why on earth would you take the time and effort to make a thread about it? Please explain.

Dude, turn off the tv, it is turning your brain to mush. Back away from the keyboard and get outside.
Go out and look at the sky, feel the breeze. Eat a good, healthy meal. Do a good deed for a stranger. If you want the world to be a better place, it begins with you doing something to make your little corner of it a better place, not posting silly things about other folks' anger issues. Sheezee...if you are over the age of 12 years, I sincerely feel sorry for you and your parents.

That's one of the problems facing this nation. Those that you call "RHINO" were true conservatives. But thanks to the fringe right, have been blacklisted, and marginalized. These used to be people who stood up for the middle class, stood up for reality, realistically wanted smaller government.

But now it's smaller government only as far as getting out of the way of Multinational Corporations.

Because lies and manipulation needs to be told for what it is.

Truth needs to be said, no matter where that truth goes.

Six years now, we've had lies from the right. People believe this stuff, and it affects us all.

Has Obama done things that aren't in the peoples best interests? Of course he has, he's a corporate oligarch after all. But the level of hypocrisy and vitriol that I see flood the national discussion from the right blends fantasy and expects everyone to accept it as reality. And they make people believe this stuff.

Hell, these people actually believe that Obama was born in Kenya for crying out loud? Should no one stand up to these lies? Should we just accept this as fact? Even though it has no basis in reality?

These people actually think Obama is the antichrist for crying out loud! Can't we interject reality into the discussion? Or do we have to put up with it, and allow it to cloud reality?

These people believe that Michelle Obama has tyrannical control over the nation's school lunch programs despite the overwhelming reality that she doesn't. But people believe it!

Reality needs a chance. There are things that Obama has done that I don't agree with. Having any involvement in the middle east is one. Libya, etc. Domestic spying. These aren't things I agree with.

But because I don't agree with these things (and there are more than the above few samples) doesn't mean I'm gonna buy hook line and sinker the fringe right's obligation to twist EVERYTHING this president does into a socialist/fascist/muslim cabal to destroy this country from the inside out.

Make a change as you see fit and run for office...start out locally. I respect what you're saying however, spouting about on ATS isn't going to change anything or anyone here.

You have to get up in everyone's face...peacefully, if that's even possible

Wow, just wow! You really do have too much time on your hands. I will repeat:

Dude, turn off the tv, it is turning your brain to mush. Back away from the keyboard and get outside.
Go out and look at the sky, feel the breeze. Eat a good, healthy meal. Do a good deed for a stranger. If you want the world to be a better place, it begins with you doing something to make your little corner of it a better place, not posting silly things about other folks' anger issues.

Then repeat that process tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. Soon you'll begin to see that the tv talking heads really don't matter one whit in your life. I've been without that idiot box for over 20 years and I'm constantly amazed at how what a difference it makes in my life when I'm not constantly assaulted by the talking idiots who get paid to look good on camera, no matter what drivel is coming from their mouths.

Calling people names and making outrageous comparisons is just spinning your wheels.
What did you do today to make someone happy to counter all the "anger" you perceive in the world? You can rant all you please about the wrongs in the world---no rant ever made things any better---it just makes you look impotent. Get away from the keyboard and do something nice.
