God is on Russia's side imo - on the side of the West, of course Atheism is prevailing in policy decisions and then there are religious right fanatics
who are certainly not upholding any traditional religious values. Think about this: Christianity has waned so much in the West that there is real
concern about Islam spreading to replace the cultural vacuum.
Russia has the Eastern Orthodox Church, which is very traditional although it did branch off directly from Catholicism in 1054, during the great
schism - Eastern Orthodox Church
- when the Catholic Church split into East and West,
Constantinople and Rome.
In Russia, the orthodox church plays a larger role than the Catholic Church, for example, plays in the U.S., which is also known as Babylon, nation of
I'm just saying - that's my historical perspective on this. On the other hand, there is the Catholic Church and the Pope on the side of the West - and
the West, at least in part, is dominated by Secular Humanism - not too bad of a force.
