I really wanted to get into this kind of stuff....I have a really nice set of binoculars that Ive tried to, idiotically, try to put a nice camera up to just for fun. It did not work out well.

Id like to buy a rig like yours...this is something I could easily do for hours...and I like the edited videos you make...very cool. Also nice how close you got in on the moon...now go find us a moon base!!!

Great footage mate. You can even see some detail in Mars. Here's Mars from your video, next to the Stellarium image:


You can see the north pole cap, and the dark Mare Acidalium next to it, as well as some dark features towards the south pole.

Have you ever tried stacking multiple video frames into a single image? It would increase the detail somewhat and help get rid of the atmospheric blur.

This is a nice Rig/setup the only problem is he got a single arm, instead a fork mount that is a lot stronger and can carry more weight..
The problem is i don't have enough space at home to store a big telescope and back problems... so this is the setup I have to do it with

Haha i am still seeking for a lunar base, no results yet

Thanks...and I commend you as I am so amature I cannot get a good grab of a Harvest moon I am so lame at using my telescope.
Jupiter and its moons is very cool.

I enjoy these straight forward threads that show how wonderful things are in the solar system and the universe without dragging all sorts of theories and mumbo-jumbo into them.
