You're right OP. But it's not the U.S.. It's the international bankers. They control the U.S., the E.U. and Russia.

This is a synthetic conflict, with the goal for the public to willingly accept more centralization and a more global government.

Check out these two articles.

Ukraine Crisis: Just Another Globalist-Engineered Powder Keg

With the exception of a few revolutions, most wars are instigated and controlled by financial elites, manipulating governments on both sides of the game to produce a preconceived result.

Another excerpt:

Money from globalist centers has been flowing into the Ukrainian opposition since at least 2004, when the Carnegie Foundation was caught filtering funds to anti-Russian political candidate Viktor Yushchenko, as well as to the groups who supported him.

The Ukrainian Supreme Court called for a runoff due to massive voter fraud and the rise of the pro-Western Orange Revolution, determining the winner to be Yushchenko over none other than Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych went on to win the 2010 elections, and the revolution returned to oust him this year.

It has been discovered that the current revolution has also been receiving funds from NATO and U.S. interests, not just from the State Department, but also from billionaires like Pierre Omidyar, the chairman of eBay and the new boss of journalist Glen Greenwald, the same journalist who is now famous for being the first to expose National Security Agency documents obtained by Edward Snowden.

Much of the monetary support from such financiers was being funneled to men like Oleh Rybachuk, the right-hand man to Yanukovych during the Orange Revolution and a favorite of neoconservatives and the State Department in the U.S.

The International Monetary Fund has also jumped at the chance to throw money at the new Ukrainian regime, which would prevent default of the country and allow the opposition movement to focus their attentions on Russia.

The question is whether Russia’s Putin is aware of the plan. Is he a part of it? Are we seeing repeat theater of a puppet Russia versus a puppet NATO like that witnessed during the Cold War?

What I do know is that Putin has, a number of times in the past, called for global control of the economy through the IMF and the institution of a new global currency using the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights (SDR).

Loans from the IMF are what saved Russia from debt default in the late 1990s. And Putin has recently called for consultations with the IMF concerning Crimea. Remember, this is the same IMF that is working to fund his opponents in Western Ukraine.

Russia Is Dominated By Global Banks, Too

Russia is just as much a tool of the global elite today as it was after the Bolshevik Revolution, and Vladimir Putin is just as much a socialist puppet as Barack Obama.

[/

Russia is more beholden to international bankers than perhaps any nation on the planet. After the collapse of the Russian economy and the dissolution of the old Soviet Union, the country was in dire straits. From 1992 to 1996, the IMF intervened in the Russian economy, offering more than $22 billion in aid (officially). This first loan package was presented as a failure when Russia defaulted on its debts, and loans from the IMF restarted through the late ’90s until this very day.

Many people are aware of the IMF involvement in Russia, but few know about the scandal surrounding where those IMF funds specifically went. In 1999, information was made public on the diversion of IMF cash into the coffers of Russian corporate elites, politicians, and even mobsters. This money was supposed to go toward the rebuilding of Russian infrastructure and economy. Instead, the aristocracy and criminal underworld were receiving a large cut of the funds.

And more:

The recent break of Crimea from Ukraine and secession to Russia was partly instigated by the vast concessions required by the IMF if loans to Ukraine were to move forward. One of these concessions included the handing over of Ukrainian gas pipelines to America’s Chevron. Crimean leaders accused Kiev politicians of selling out Ukraine to the global bankers.

However, it was actually Russia’s finance minister and Putin who first pushed for the IMF bailout of Ukraine. It was, in fact, Putin who wanted Ukraine to “sell out” to Western financiers.

Everyone is a puppet. Putin included. This all just a horrific game with as end result the New World Order.

My blood pressure has become elevated, so my doctor told me. I said..."Well I'm a member of ATS, what do you expect!" Why the F$^&K can't they just stop with the forced uprisings!!! I don't hate Americans but Damn! The peons you've elected to run the show are beyond the pale of anything worthwhile to the future of this planet or it's people. Before I'm gone, they'll even get Iceland into a freaking revolution! Sorry...I'm venting.

Their are no real elections here. It is all rigged. So don't blame us. Every cycle we get two choices, moron puppet or moron puppet light. It is that simple. Our system was compromised before I was born.

If the US is responsible for uniting the people against a government that wants to put a foot on their neck and silence them, then I am all for it.
Seems like a good plan...If its an unpopular movement, the people will stop the dissidence in step with the government.

The US/NATO is the foot.

Does the US government control MacDonalds and use it as a weapon??? I find this interesting...

Macdonalds has closed down its 3 restaurants in Crimea... using supply issues as the problem yet they operated one for the Maidan protesters the entire time in the square!!! Now that's a Mac-Conspiracy. lol

Although the United States has imposed financial and other sanctions on Moscow because of its Crimean takeover, American businesses have been left free to operate in Russia. McDonald's said the closing was temporary, but its offer to move employees to other jobs in mainland Ukraine - and give them a three-month rent payment - made that assertion sound less than persuasive.

and then this ... now this is interesting!

The chain has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. Kiev has one right on the Maidan, the Independence Square where the revolution began in November, resulting in the hasty departure of pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych in February. Faced with a new Western-oriented government in Kiev, Russia barrelled into Crimea.

The Maidan McDonald's, which soldiered on during most of the three-month protest, was briefly turned into a counselling centre but reopened a few days ago. Even when those doors were shut, McDonald's wrappers fluttered cheerfully in the wind - there's another busy one a few blocks away.

hmmmmmm

Yes, yes I was.

now I am hungry...

(it was sarcasm btw..in case you didn't catch it. I find people whom assume the US does everything on earth to be hyper-arrogant. anyone anywhere says they don't like their government..it was the US...because only the US knows how to motivate people...the rest of the world are drooling sheep waiting for the us government to assemble them)

The only thing that's keeping this thing alive is a media war. Each side lies, each side is telling us half-truth. The right thing to do would be lock up all of the members of Right Sector, members of Svoboda, new unelected government which has called for genocide on numerous occasions and every armed person in the Eastern Ukraine. In a matter of days, things would calm down. Eastern regions would get their referendum whether Ukraine should be a federation and languages laws would revert back as they were, since there were no problem before. Just stop the information war or ignore the media.

And some of the things Western media lied about ... Russian media lied a lot too. There's no saint in media war .. Media in the hands of idiots can be the most powerful weapon ever since you can 'program' persons opinion ..

And my condolences to all affected ..
