Let's say a guy named Fred is attracted to a woman named Martha. He asks her out to a movie; she accepts; they have a pretty good time. A few nights later he asks her out to dinner, and again they enjoy themselves. They continue to see each other regularly, and after a while neither one of them is seeing anybody else.
And then, one evening when they're driving home, a thought occurs to Martha, and, without really thinking, she says it aloud: "Do you realize that, as of tonight, we've been seeing each other for exactly six months?"
And then, there is silence in the car.
To Martha, it seems like a very loud silence. She thinks to herself: I wonder if it bothers him that I said that. Maybe he's been feeling confined by our relationship; maybe he thinks I'm trying to push him into some kind of obligation that he doesn't want, or isn't sure of.
And Fred is thinking: Gosh. Six months.
And Martha is thinking: But, hey, I'm not so sure I want this kind of relationship either. Sometimes I wish I had a little more space, so I'd have time to think about whether I really want us to keep going the way we are, moving steadily towards, I mean, where are we going? Are we just going to keep seeing each other at this level of intimacy? Are we heading toward marriage? Toward children? Toward a lifetime together? Am I ready for that level of commitment? Do I really even know this person?
And Fred is thinking: ...so that means it was...let's see...February when we started going out, which was right after I had the car at the dealer's, which means...lemme check the odometer...Whoa! I am way overdue for an oil change here.

Are we seriously still having this conversation in 2014? I know I am in the middle ground as far as age goes but really? I think OP is either one hell of a troll or just lost in some sort of weird world where he got hurt once and now finds it necessary to take it out on all women.
As far as women dressing how they wish...I was pretty sure I read in some book once that people have freedom here. Not sure where I read it but then my memory sucks these days. But here is what I can piece together from humanity and real logic
1. Women can dress how they please so long as they aren't breaking a law (public nudity and such...)
2. Women can make their own damn choice of career, tending to house and kids or hell both...
3. Women should have the right to walk down a street without every guy thinking it's ok and cute and charming to tell her that they wasnt to (insert vulgar reference here( with them
I hate to break it to the folks out there but it isn't attractive and many times not welcome
But lt me take a break here and be really selfish for a moment
You know what really pisses me off? That I have to prove myself as someone who supports feminist ideals and equality because I am a male. Now I know at first glance this looks like a slight on women but it's more a slight on men.
I have to constantly prove to others that I truly care about gender equality because centuries and scores of guys have ruined it for others by making all of our sex out to be rabid, sex-crazed and "deserving"
I don't work for gender equality because I want to score with women. I don't work for gender equality because I want to look good in the eyes of femals everywhere. I work for gender equality because it's the right thing to do. Why? Well look at OPs remarks and the thousands upon thousands of remarks all over the MSM, op-eds, forums, and boards all over the net. I do it because we still...in 2014 cannot get past the idea that women are equal and should be treated as such...2014
We seem to have this belief that because we gave women the right to vote and because we abortion is legal that we have somehow pacified them and made them "equal" yet we still have daily micro (and macro) aggressions in the form of so-called "flirting" and policy that is anti-women.
You want a real victory? Men, you want to feel real manly? Try to pass a woman and not ogle her or use one of your 'smooth' lines. Just let it be...understand real equality and understand that our 'advances' are nto always appreciated
and yes before I get jumped I have been just as guilty in this arena. No hypocrite here. The difference is I am realizing it and working my ass off to change it. Will I still make a mistake? Hell yeah I will and I apologize in advance to both sexes

Be the man in the realtionship.
Wow and we wonder why aliens don't introduce themselves, with uninformed, illogical comments like these.
People, get an education and do research, please.
But you are so opinionated about how things work that you can effortlessly post comments about menstrual sync, now we will have to wait another decade before aliens introduce themselves, there is no such thing as menstrual sync, its just the law of averages that boggles peoples minds.
Thanks to both of you Tylerdurden1, FancyName, who believe that its only women that are this way, I will find you more egotistical greedy, proud men, than women.......Damn didn't you have kind loving mothers that set a wonderful example for you, If not, I do apologise and withdraw my comments.
