Hmm...Religious wars...God and Satan locking horns.

Given I don't participate in that religion, I will just stay out of it...bit like which side will you fight for, bloods or crips.

I choose..neither..let em kill each other off.

But, if I absolutely must, then I will fight for the opposite side of whomever dragged me into the stupid war anyhow...dang kids and their wars

I was going to elaborate a little but I see that this subject has a hundred faces and everyone is different. Amazing that. I had no idea the internet would let me see how diverse and varied the opinions of everyone are on different subjects.

I know (sepulchral voice) "In the laaand before tiiime", people had little outside their local news, friends, coworkers, etc., to have many differing opinions. Usually people only discussed whatever the official line of the day was. All the sources stated the same thing.

So was that better, that everyone agreed and was misled or today, where everyone disagrees and is misled?

Better to have everyone disagree..at least there is more diversity and creativity in the selection of illusions

I just got off the phone with the devil and he's having way too much fun at a casino and winning lots too. He told me he's not going to start any trouble just now as it would be pointless calling god back from his vacation. The devil when pressed for a date said "Off the record"..." maybe in another seven hundred years or so. So I reckon I'll just keep racking up the credit cards and havin fun!

That's what all that buzzing and clicking was in the background, called me up too, real pissed off (must have been losing at the time), said he was having evil lessons with the wife, apparently he thinks she is charging him too much.

Anyhow, Hi Ops. I see your new to ATS
Here in our little humble home, we try to start things we call "discussions". Now, in these discussions, we tend to try and add a bit of context, maybe some backstory, and definitely links to at least somewhat sane sources (some guys blog incidentally is not a good source..generally speaking anyhow, I mean, its fine if your discussing poems or something, but not about events that has or may shape world events).

So, anyhow, the whole no sources, your specific obscure belief without backing, and single word general followups to legit questions about your hypothesis isn't really helpful here.

If you don't like this style of discussion, I would like to introduce you to perhaps twitter where you are more than welcome to give random snippet opinions and one word responses without any issue...(also good for quick hello's to relatives).

Kind of "divide and conquer"? Hmmm… Having lived during both eras I can attest that it was more peaceful back then. Maybe that was an illusion perpetuated by only a few news sources.

When everyone disagrees, thats when the fighting breaks out. But the internet contains that to some degree, I guess. If we were all in a bar the s*** would flyyyyy!

Don't be to demanding, though. Religious fervor sets in and its, "shout it from the roof tops" before we really understand what we are shouting…

If, and I'm not convinced about the whole heaven & hell thing, Satan and God exists and each hold part of creation in their hands, why would they want to do anything that upsets the apple cart. Keeping a balance lets the universe hum along. The universe dies if they get into a knock down drag out and any winner would rule over nothing.

I think it likens more to an ending of the current Paradigm, the way of things in the world. That system will end like it has for so many others in the past. See Empires and ruins.

People will survive, but it will be a new day, without the oppression, greed, corruption, wars and suffering of the recent past.

I previously welcomed him to the jungle....

But you gotta' give newbies a break, there should be some forum at ATS for when newbies come here, they automatically have to go through a thread tutorial with examples. Maybe that might help?

The war has been going on for a long time.

Is that you alone and just you, against the devil? Maybe you meant that you personally choose to fight against the accuser. But he doesn't accuse down here, he accuses you before God. Right now he is a roaring lion going about seeing whom he can devour, that's why Jesus said watch and pray.

i thought your 1st post was a good start, intrptr.. (but by the 2nd post, i'm wondering if you were thinking 'pearls before swine' and all that)

as for everything else,

Okay..... Now I'm sure that there are plenty of people such as yourself waiting for the apocalypse to come, why does anyone want this sort of demise?

So I guess I'll let you wait for you're imminent demise. Get back to me when the apocalypse happens, or not I'll probably just sleep through the whole thing anyway.

I will stand on the sidelines and watch what happens and act if I need to act.
