It is sexist. Birth control is not defined as prescription only, not a method that is permanent or temporary.

I forgot, "It's different" right???

What? Healthcare policies make a separation between prescription and over-the-counter. No healthcare policies cover OTC drugs or items. It has NOTHING to do with gender.

The ACA covers women's AND men's pregnancy prevention. That is not sexist. Condoms are not covered, but neither are OTC spermicides that women use.

Sounds like discrimination.

It kinda does.

All BC should be over the counter not just mens.

Most countries I have been to all BC is over the counter as well as antibiotics.

How very convenient.
So, it isn't truly about birth control then, because the other methods aren't covered. It really comes down to the whole "Woman" issues side of the house.

Guess Rush was right. The women pushing for this just want the employer or tax payer to foot the bill for their sexual activities.

Sounds to me it is against homosexual males as well.

You're right. It's not just about birth control. It's about preventative, prescription medicine.

Actually, they want their preventative, prescription medicines covered by their insurance, whether it's birth control, seizure medicine or blood thinners.

Sounds to me it is against homosexual males as well.

Their preventative prescriptions are covered as well. Not sure where you're going with this and I'm certain it's irrelevant. Men don't get pregnant...

No, its about controlling others to do what you want them to do.

So again, the idea that others have to do what you want.

Thought it was about birth control. You guys really need to make up your mind.

Non, no, no, no, no, and Hell no! Over the counter antibiotics just make the problem of antibiotic resistant bacteria much worse. I'd rather have narcotics over the counter and antibiotics strictly controlled. If a junkie OD's, it's not my problem, if things like MRSA get more prevalent, it's everybody's problem.

Awwww. Don't want to play anymore I guess.

I think I just watched the same thing happen outside with some neighborhood kids. One wanted the others to do something. The others didn't so the kid got mad and stomped away.

Well, if you care to discuss the fact that it has to do with a small group of people wanting to force others to comply to what they want, please, come back and speak.

There were some neighbourhood kids outside my house too. They were playing Soccer.

After playing for a while one of them decided he didn't want to play by the same rules as all the others anymore. He said that he believed he was special and because of his belief he should be declared the winner even though he didn't score any goals.

It was after seeing him stamp his foot, claim he was being oppressed and cry for his Mummy because all the other kids just laughed at his Special Snowflake Beliefs, that I remembered to reply to your Post.

I have to disagree because sometimes doctors are morons. In the past 5 years I have had to go through 20+ surgeries to reconstruct....well I have a blast injury. This specialist I have had the past 6 surgeries with must have something against antibiotics because he is so damn stingy with them. One infection meant I had to have a surgery to remove infected bone wait 7 months to heal next surgery went alright I thought, but then I noticed puss coming out of the stitches I called and got another appointment because it looked infected. I asked if he would start me on antibiotics...nope..4 days later at the appointment the infected area had become a hole going right through to the bone and guess what he put me on antibiotics.

So now I clean the area out with peroxide cover it with Neosporin the doc will not refill the antibiotics I am out and on the 30th I have another surgery. Freakin awesome. I think after the surgery I am booking a trip to Costa Rica for a week and I am going to stock up on medical supplies. Lots of them. Just about everything is over the counter there and a med that costs me $5.50 here costs 20 cent there.

Oh and I am pushing to see a different specialist. Enough is enough.

You don't have to go that far for them just so ya know. While living in a semi remote place in the mountains for a while I needed some antibiotics and had no access to a doc. That's when I learned that you can go to some feed stores and get antibiotics for animals without a doctor. I took some that was for either someones dog or horse or whatever and worked just fine. Just do some studying if you need it but it could save you a trip maybe.

Thanks. I just ordered some online after reading up on them a little. You need a script for humans but not your pets and it is the same thing. What a screwy system.

What described is the Progressive mindset to a T.

Seems to be me and a handful of others here that continually state people have certain freedoms.

It also seems to be that you and your handful of like minded cohorts champion the Govt getting involved whenever you deem things "not fair" based on you wanting to change the rules.

The only snowflake here are those that want rules for some, but not for others.

"This whole argument is about religious people thinking that their beliefs give them the right to break established codes and laws in order to discriminate against certain groups of people, whether it be the LGBT community, women, or whoever. It's a very sad sign of the last throes of an ignorant and bigoted mindset that will be shown to have been on the wrong side of history"

This is a phony attempt to discredit people who know their rights and and choose to have the courage by exercising their freedoms and who attempt to stand up and be heard for what they believe.

U.S. Taxpayers that do not believe in subsidizing or paying for "free birth control" are in no way "sexist".

This is yet another veiled attempt to "give us what we want, don't complain, and just shut up if you don't agree with us. You are expected to comply without objection".

Many women agree with Hobby Lobby's position, does that make those women "sexists" ? Are they discriminating against other women?

Utter-nonsense.

"Preventative, Prescription medications" is code for Abortion, whereby human beings lives are being terminated by the millions and having other members of society pay for it.

Another weak argument, as most people invest in stocks that they haven't fully investigated in terms of each and every activity that a given company may be involved in, only later to learn about it somehow, and then get out of their investment in that company's stock. What specific company's is Hobby Lobby Currently invested in that supports abortions? What specific company or companies in China, that is directly involved in forced abortions, is Hobby Lobby Currently doing business with? Please name them.

The First Amendment freedom from government establishment of a religion and from government interference in the exercise of religion does not mean that religion can be used to do anything one wants or to constrain what someone else does.

Someone getting an abortion or using birth control does not affect First Amendment freedoms in any way.

In addition, paying taxes does not give a line-item veto. Everyone "pays for things" we don't agree with.

I'll make a deal. My taxes pay for abortions. Your taxes pay to subsidize the free-ride that churches have.

My taxes pay for condoms. Your taxes pay for anthrax and drones that murder children.

I have a better approach. You want Birth Control? You want to have an abortion? ... Then You pay for it.

But please, do not expect the rest of us to subsidize, or otherwise pay for, whether directly or indirectly, Your personal choices.
