Hadn't you seen that other thread floating around today...past mass extinctions brought on by methane-producing microbes over the course of 100,000 years. This time around, it ain't going to take no 100,000 years. We've seen alarming changes in a matter of a decade so how long will it take? It'll happen in our lifetimes, that's for sure.
