All ya gotta do is pull your head out of the computer, step outside and take a look for yourself. Nearly every corner of the globe is experiencing some drastic eye-opening climate change in one form or another.

Things are happening and that's a fact. You deniers have simply been blind-sided by corporate greed and their well-spent efforts to fool you into thinking this is about a government agenda. I ask, do you really believe that we, mankind, would take the necessary steps of our own accord to reverse what's happening? Highly unlikely. The only way we, mankind, would reverse what's happening is by government instruction. It's not to control and tax for revenues, it's to regulate before it's too late!

Ha. yOu do realize that all the scientists on earth-well except for 2-3% of them agree that man is causing the earth to warm outside of and in addition to any natural cycle that we're on and at an alarming rate with alarming consequences don't you?

Wow !

All scientists on the earth (except 2-3% of them) agree on that ?!

Do you have a link to the study/survey for this ?

Thanks.

It's all over the web. do some research. Here's a quote from

MICHIO KAKU, PHYSICIST: Climate change is the 800-pound gorilla in the living room that the media dances around. But in the scientific community it's a settled question: 95 percent of scientists believe this is happening with 100 percent confidence temperatures are rising.
With 90 percent confidence, we believe it's human activity and not natural cycles that is driving the increase in temperature on the Earth.

and here's a link to NASA...climate.nasa.gov...

Your NASA link states: "97% of climate scientists"

You are stating: "all scientists on earth (except 2-3%)"

I'm asking you for a link to the source where you got your data from.

Thanks.

Ah... let's see. Michio Kaku gave similar numbers and let's see 100% minus 3% is 97%. Maybe I need to work on my math...LOL I think that's about right though?? Maybe you're doing common core math...and came up with a different number though? And you're right, I think Michio says it was only 95%....I suppose that proves your point, I suppose that this isn't all over the web and there isn't scientific consensus.

Try Google It works wonders.

You're missing the part where it says "97% of climate scientists"... not all scientists... just climate scientists.

You are stating "all scientists on the earth (except 2-3%)"

Well they are the guys who are actually studying it arn't they?.
You would be miffed If we told you that number included creation scientists also wouldn't you.

I wouldn't be miffed at all. It's a moot point.

The point is, your study is surveying abstracts that express any mention of AGW, not scientists.

You're showing me oranges when I'm asking someone to show me apples.

Is this also a hoax??

Since January of 1987, NOAA has been tracking the volume of ice up in the Arctic using a combination of satellite data and buoys which provided physical markers of glacier boundaries. The 25 years’ worth of data was put together into a jaw-dropping animated video which shows all those years compressed into only one minute.

So you're saying that you don't believe in man made Global Warming? Just say it if that's what you think. So easy to do. I don't like playing find the correct link or your number is 1% off especially when you know what we're saying. This isn't rocket science.

Soooooooooooo. 97% of scientists agree that AGW is the cause. Please quantify the number surveyed for and against. For instance 97% of 100 is 97 scientists. That is not in dispute.

However, if there are 1000 scientists in the survey disagree with AGW that would leave 903 scientists that disagree. Therefore the percentage would be 90.30% against.

We can play fun with numbers all day, but please provide the statistics for each and every scientist on the planet.

Thanks for coming out.

Why? why have a scientists views on it when it isn't their field?
The 97% figure is from the scientists whose jobs it is to study the climate, they are the ones in the best position to study it and 97% of them sat it is happening and we caused it.

I believe that 97% figure is an extrapolation from all the scientists that have something to do with te study of climate change. Sorry but I will have to look up the corroboration but here is a graph and figures you should be able to easily understand.

Edit to add

This explains where the 97.1% figure comes from on the AGW consensus
IOP science

Letter

We analyze the evolution of the scientific consensus on anthropogenic global warming (AGW) in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, examining 11 944 climate abstracts from 1991–2011 matching the topics 'global climate change' or 'global warming'. We find that 66.4% of abstracts expressed no position on AGW, 32.6% endorsed AGW, 0.7% rejected AGW and 0.3% were uncertain about the cause of global warming. Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming.

These figures and origins are easily found by anyone with access to a computer.

I find it crazy that the deniers are just ignoring all the data and research...I know why because they can't accept their life may change because of it...they want to continue the way they are living now and not thinking about future generations.
Another example of "screw you jack I'm doing fine"..
These folk will be the reason future generations look back at our generations living today with disgust and shame.
Sigh...

Also notice the tactic the OP has used?
Playing the strings of religious folk by using the anti christ.....sickening really and darn right below the belt.

This is just a guess but...chances are, if you are one to believe in an "anti-Christ" - you are not likely to give much credit or consideration to science. LoL! So I seriously doubt anyone's mind will be changed in this thread as, for all intents and purposes, the sides may as well be speaking different languages.

Well there is a lot of misinformation out there that has been made to look official such as the Heartland institute founded an organization which publishes the NIPCC reports. You know the same organization that lobbies for tobacco and oil and they are real good at duping the uniformed and gullible.

Great points and there's no level headed discussion with Global Warming Fanatics.

If you question their position and even try to talk about an opposing viewpoint, you're labeled a denier. Anytime you have fanaticism like this it can be dangerous especially in the hands of a Dictator.

Just think of how you control and even kill people in the name of saving the planet.

Please explain how a warmer atmosphere makes magma well up from the planets core and expel itself?

Land ice melt causing sea rise, causing extra pressure on the thin continental shelf's while decreasing pressure under the permafrost that's melting. Shifting weights are causing land subsidence events all over the world, including that massive landslide in Washington, sinkholes all over the freakin place, land cracks like the one in Michigan's UP. This is also causing earthquakes and volcanoes.

Oh dear, doom porn indeed.

My complaint has to do with the desire to implement a global authority over all energy usage and the horrors that such a regime has the potential to bring forth.

Nobody (I think) is claiming that the earth is a static experiment. The idea that CO2 is the cause itself is suspect, much less that it is all the product of human activity. As greenhouse gases go, it is pretty weak. Now methane is another story and it is being released from the ocean floor from frozen deposits. Methane being a much more effective greenhouse gas, I can't imagine why it isn't the focus of the climate change lobby except for the fact that humans don't produce enough to be targeted so it isn't a good justification for global totalitarianism.

There have been a couple of threads on here that suggest various solutions to this problem that I applaud (carbon sequestering, algae farms, space mirrors, etc). Anyone who is actually concerned about this issue should be talking and thinking about corrective actions. If we really are running towards a wall, slowing down is not a solution, we must run backwards which will require more than simply denying humans heat, transportation and food.

So, the claims of AGW are disingenuous for these reasons.

I have to agree with you quite a bit here...I've been saying it for over a year now that I don't believe carbon is the real threat. Methane and hydrogen sulfide gases are much more of a threat and like you said, it's ignored on the global scheme of things. I must say though that over the past couple of months there has been a lot more press mention of methane. Maybe some are finally paying attention...one can only hope. It does seem that if too much attention is given to the methane threat some feel it will divert attention from carbon after so many years and energies have been put into convincing us that it is a serious threat, only to find out there is a much more dire problem. IMO, it's a necessary change in direction and until the global community recognizes it, we're going to continue ignoring escalating methane emissions until we pass the tipping point.

Misinformation?

Have you seen Alaska? Greenland? Again, this isn't a drill. We're way past the point of debate, particularly where it impedes preparation. Keep doing nothing but arguing, but some areas of the world are in for some mighty big shocks, others from some pleasant surprises, and probably a lot faster than many think.

Yea, all those dead fish, birds and animals are all part of the great hoax.

All those 22 volcanoes spewing ash out of one country alone, Indonesia, that's all part of the great hoax.

All those new disease outbreaks from the over-abundance of bacteria is all part of the great hoax.

Continued…

Blah Blah Blah…

Are you going to tell me that exhaust fumes and cow farts are to blame for all that ails the planet?? Seriously? We’re to blame?? What caused the mass extinctions and climate changes in the past? Was that us, too?

Meh…

It's you deniers that want to see the world burn.

It's man made global warming folks that want massive wealth redistribution all based on nothing.

BTW ... Not 'deniers' ... that implies that someone has their head buried in the sand in the face of facts. 'REALISTS' is the term you should use when describing people who have not bought into the man-made-global-warming hoax.

ETA ... climate change? Yes. Man made? Unknown.
