Well I feel good reminding you that Obama just re-election by over 5 million votes.

And Obama deported a record amount of illegals out of the country.

Facts matter.

I wonder why the original poster did not notice that his alleged article is very old and not new.

It also does not contain any government report.

It appears this thread should be moved to the hoax forum.

Sorry OP you failed this time.

The only report I see in the Breitbart article is from October 2013. The only article I can find by Jessica Vaughn at the CIS site is the one I linked from October 2013. I find nothing on either site from March 31, 2014. Can anyone?

Maybe the dude at Breitbart was drunk? Or (correctly) surmised that most of his readers wouldn't bother with any fact-checking?

Indeed they do!
And if you're referencing my quote from Kane read it again ... I'm referring to the guy above who claims that "all these illegal criminals" that are supposedly being released are going to vote Democratic in the mid-terms.

So essentially, it's like Citizen Kane ... either "KANE WINS" (their guy) or "MASSIVE FRAUD AT POLLS" ...

Some people cannot accept that the majority of the American people do not see things their way, haven't you noticed?

Don't you mean that the majority are blind except for what they see on the MSM, but don't bother to personally analyze?

Either you, or I, am completely confused.

I've been pointing out the flaws in the OP article.

I'm stating that allegations of "voter fraud" are essentially sour grapes.

Are you sure you're responding to the right poster? *scratches head*

Ok gotcha. There are so many hoaxes posted in this forum about Obama that I almost lost track.

Why do these posters actually fall for the hoaxes?

That's certainly an implication of Citizen Kane ... but, no, I don't believe that the "MSM" does anything but provide a service that the people essentially buy and pay for. IF there wasn't a market for politically-biased clap-trap, there wouldn't be any.

People are blinded by their own BELIEFS and their extraordinary reluctance to experience reality. That'd be my position.

No worries.

Why? Belief. If you want to believe that President Obama is a socialist/Kenyan/fascist/worse-than-the-devil-himself ... then that's what you see. If you believe he's a messiah, that's what you see. If you see a man who has come into the Office at the worst time in history to actually get anything done, that's what I see.

I didn't like Obama. Didn't support him in 2008. Voted for LOTE in 2012. He's never inspired my confidence, but I don't damn him for it. I end up supporting him on here because of the insane levels of obsessive dishonesty associated with the subject.

Of course it's difficult to get actual numbers because these people don't stop and check in with immigration when entering the US.
Then you have the temerity to charge CIS with fudged numbers.
FACT: NOBODY KNOWS THE ACTUAL NUMBERS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS.
Not wanting uncontrolled immigration doesn't make one Republican.
They make boatloads of cash for many right-wing business owners at the expense of taxpayers who subsidize their cheap labor through their use of social services, schools, hospitals and public infrastructure.

This isn't about race, ethnicity or human rights.
It's about legal or illegal - a concept our government seems to apply in haphazard fashion.
The very rich and those who jump the border seem to fall under special protections not afforded the average citizen.
Do you think that is fair then?

For all you complaining about the 68000 etc.

Does the "exact" number really matter?

If so,

HOW MANY FELONS WOULD HAVE TO BE RELEASE BACK INTO THE USA POPULATION BEFORE IT WAS "TOO MANY".

The fact the one has been done is enough. That started the "slippery slope".

Instead of ripping the article, or me, apart, how about offering ways Obama can STOP THEM BEING RELEASED or NOT SENDING THEM BACK to whereever...?

America would thank you!

OR, please provide your home address to the Feds and ask for then to be released in YOUR neighborhood. We'll see if you feel the same then.

Wait, so your logic in charging me with great "temerity" (excellent word choice, btw
) is that, since "NOBODY KNOWS THE ACTUAL NUMBERS" ... well then, any old NUMBERS will do???

Perhaps you need to reread the article. Somebody supposedly knows the numbers quoted. The situation was supposedly that all these cases had been turned over to ICE from various sources and that then (according to Breitbart) 35% were let go and according to the CIS article (that Breitbart is supposedly quoting from) that only 35% were deported ... but aside from that little mix-up ... 35% of some number or 68000 ... my point was only what was the "some number" and where did it come from?

That's conveniently left out of the article in Breitbart, and of course, would be a different number in the CIS article ...

But one would assume that, since these "careful calculations are being made independently" there was an actual number somewhere that was being used (the number of cases "turned over") ...

... and that information is completely missing.

I myself can figure that if 35% of a number is 68,000 then the number has to be around 194,386 ... but where does that number come from?

Does it come from here?

“In 2013, ICE targeted only 195,000, or 25 percent, out of 722,000 potentially deportable aliens they encountered,” CIS’s Vaughan wrote. “Most of these aliens came to ICE’s attention after incarceration for a local arrest.”

195,000 is close to 194,386 ... but of course, that makes no sense because the claim is that 68,000 were "released" and this says that 195,000 were at least "targeted."

Here's the point: we can play with numbers all night. These numbers don't jive with themselves or with the two articles. They're baloney.

The "actual numbers" only matter if we pretended that we were dealing with facts. You seem ready to accede to the fact that the numbers in the Breitbart article don't make sense ... but you're still clinging to the idea that the other "facts" are real?

Try it for yourself. Go to the Breitbart article, copy any of the "quotes" into your browser of choice, and see if you can find them published ANYWHERE on the internet (including the site, CIS, or the author, Jessica Vaughn, supposedly being quoted).

(Here, I'll do it for you: Google Search on Breitbart Quotes

(Actually, it's still early enough to see that the "downstream" quotes at other right-wing blog sites are just picking up with the info from Breitbart ... it's like being there in the Echo Chamber for the first few "Helloos ...")

For example: "Chicago Got Newswire" copy of the Breitbart article
then some weird site called "Above Top Secret"

then Conspiracy Scope, then Brittus, then Mooserider Magazine, then Conservative Citizens ...

All just plagiarizing quoting the same banner paragraph from Breitbart.

CONCLUSION: There is no "original article" published as of this writing.

SECONDARY CONCLUSION: The information is made up for the Breitbart article.

So, anon72 ... can you explain this odd situation to us? Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Can you find this other report from CIS that was supposedly released Sunday night?

I mean, before we just assume that criminals are being released willy-nilly and we're forced to adjust our monicles and chortle "why yes, I'm okay with criminals being released, as long as they vote, ho ho ho!"

COME ON ... this is insulting to the intellect.

Okay.... So.... what does one say to this?

That Obama and his party will do anything for a vote.

Because that is what it is all about.

Seriously.

Remember...once upon a time...not that long ago...

We had a nation built on law and the general respect for law. When law didn't work? We changed it. If laws couldn't be changed, it was accepted that those trying to change them were against the rightful feelings of the population and hence..as the system was designed, the laws couldn't change like that.

Ahh..but for the old days..

Now we just ignore whatever laws aren't fun to pay attention to and carry on like we can make it up as we go.

Times change..Oh my..do they ever change.

Ain't that the truth.

None of us get to pick and choose the laws we want to follow.

So why should anyone else get to.

Just so they can increase their voter base, and their campaign coffers.

Remember now once upon a time not that long ago.

The people who are currently pushing immigration 'fixes' are the very same people who were there when Reagan, and Clinton passed their 'amnesties'.

Look less than 2 decades later after it was 'supposedly' fixed.

It still a problem.

They don't want it fixed.

Every decade when they want more voters they reward law breakers.

The law they wrote themselves.

They should stop 'alienating' us legals already.

Yes, we mentioned that report several times above. The date on this report is October 2013. That's not what the Breitbart artcle claims it took its information from even though it's linked at the bottom of the article. The claim in the article is that a CIS report issued on "Sunday" March 30, is the source article for the piece.

I.e. you're not telling us anything we don't already know.
