Ba-dum tiss!

I'm sure we've all heard the old jokes about how stupid and fat and ugly our relatives are, not to mention classics like the knock knock joke and "how many (insert demographic here) does it take to...?" They get a little boring after a while, don't they? It's hard to find a good joke that's clean and still gets you giggling. But what about intellectual jokes? I figure that's right up our alley, right? Here's a few to feed your noggin:

Gold walks into a bar. The bartender yells "AU! Get out!"

Why are chemists never able to prank their friends? They lack the element of surprise!

heisenberg is pulled over. "Do you have any idea how fast you were going?" asks the policeman. H: "No. But, I know where I am."

Check out the links for more hilarious - and perhaps stimulating - slapstick one-liners and comedy scenarios based on some of our favorite physicists, philosophers, elements, measuring units, and theories.

The past, the present and the future all walk into a bar at the same time. After a few minutes, the bartender says "It's getting really tense in here."

Two molecules are walking down the street.

One says, "I think I've lost an electron."

The second one says, "Are you sure?"

The first one says, "Yes, I'm positive!"

I once proposed that Boron was two insults in one.

(but people just acted doubly hurt).

Two peanuts were walking through a park. One was a salted.

Sorry I don't know any intellectual jokes.
