I agree with your sentiment about the craziness and possible rioting. There have already been 8 deaths today in violence during the voting - I read that earlier today I'll edit with a source.

The last thing the world needs is more rioting in that part of the world right now....meanwhile, the Turkish government is still blocking Twitter and other social media outlets during the elections.
