I'm listening. Didn't have much to say about Jeffry Li except to say he was really good, and I'm a little jealous he stole one of my karaoke songs. I did it better though.

Summer. "Laying out" in the backyard, listening to AM radio on a transistor and using Coppertone or baby oil to brown ourselves.
Songs from that time period take me back to my late childhood/pre-adolescence memories. My Aunt, I adore here. Eight years older, the youngest of five....we were besties.

Wow that's awesome. I really like it, too - dance is one of the best things about humans - music and dance.

so - at one point toward the end she says "magic mother" -----

and that made me smile even bigger. When I was a little girl and was pouting, my mom would say "if you don't stop crying and pouting, I'll have to say 'magic mother'....." And funny enough - I had learned that "magic mother" was like being tickled.

If I say it, you'll have to laugh!!! she'd warn.

and she was right.

I taught my kids that same thing. Best tool yet to calm a tantrum..."don't make me say 'magic mother'!"
