No, and sort of but not really. It may eventually come out, but it really does make sense.

I think they are playing on the Beast of Kandahar Rq-170 too much as their show pony..The Beast of Edwards is something new or something old?Im not sure that girl is the Rq-180.

these are likely stored in the muntions bay like a bomb

they are sacrificial aircraft and ISR so the 21 doesnt have to go in alone the decoys are robust ISR/ELINT and more than likely ment to take sam fire as well as work as forward observers and broadcast many decoy signals if not out right jam them

Nah I'm going with this as a B21 controlled wild weasal AA drone that goes in ahead and won't be sacrificial

What ever happened to that F-111 replacement I wonder.

Yep there was always rumours of a companion for another stealth platform so why not the B21.

you mean the 180?

there is no doubt there is a non 'disposable' stealthy ISR

but this thing they are talking about can be flown in swarms

that does not sound like something that we currently have, or even want.

if you can sent out drones 100 or less miles around you not only will it be great for ISR and decoys and what not but also as strike options and not as expensive as a designated companion 2.0

that's what the 180 is for and satellites

as far as the 111 replacement an augment could be made that a variant of the F35 of next gen fighter will or has replaced the EF-111

Don't know where you got any of that from in that short paragraph. I'm wondering if the aircraft this thread was made for is the accompanying aircraft.

The Amarillo for me has more thing to see with the NGAD demonstrator than the B-21 , the Amarillo three craft was not very large flying wing , the one with star shape match more with the Boeing NGAD concept in term of shape.

it was just a general response

no way they are going to risk multimillion topsecret jets as DEPLOYABLE drones from the B21

how would multiple 180s fit in the bomb bays?

they will have to attach to bomb racks and have folding wings like SDB's or cruise missiles

edit on 24-12-2021 by penroc3 because: (no reason given)

This is all fascinating stuff - could Amarillo have been a b21 with companion’s in testing? Have any of these birds come out into the grey world at all?
