Access to video-sharing site YouTube has been cut off in Turkey, following a new leak of a government meeting compromising Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. Other social media outlets have already been blocked ahead of a tumultuous election.

The Turkish telecoms authority TIB says it has taken an "administrative measure" against YouTube. No other details were specified.

This comes a week after TIB blocked access to microblogging site Twitter.

Apparently it has to do with this...

Here Is The YouTube "Start A False Flag War With Syria" Leaked Recording That Erdogan Wanted Banned

As we noted here, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan had blocked Twitter access to his nation ahead of what was rumored to be a "spectacular" leak before this weekend's elections. Then this morning, amid a mad scramble, he reportedly (despite the nation's court ruling the bans illegal) blocked YouTube access. However, by the magic of the interwebs, we have the 'leaked' clip and it is clear why he wanted it blocked/banned. As the rough translation explains, it purports to be a conversation between key Turkish military and political leaders discussing what appears to be a false flag attack to launch war with Syria.

The video and translation etc is here....

It's such a silly move.

He's doing it before the elections so no one can hear about his corruption, yet the fact that he's blocked twitter and youtube just raises suspicions!

Those were the last two nails in his coffin I think.

Some NATO countries would be happy to help Turkey with Syria, if they fabricate reasons like that.

The headline of all the MSM news should actually be more about the conents, not about the reacion IMHO. The content (False Flag, so that NATO can start invade Syria) is much more interesting. Much MSM even doesn't mention the contents of the leak

This Erdogan guy isn't as smart as I thought he was. Not sure what these moves are supposed to accomplish. That people will suddenly stop talking about his corruption? No, on the contrary. These moves create just the opposite of what he wants.

And instead of blocking a single video, he blocks the entirety of Youtube...how dumb can you be?

YouTube ban: How Turkish officials conspired to stage Syria attack to provoke war

“I'll make up a cause of war by ordering a missile attack on Turkey.” This leaked conversation is coming back to haunt the highest echelons of the Turkish government as it plans a provocation in Syria, while scrambling to contain social media internally.

The leaked audiotapes that reveal Turkey’s highest ministers staging an anti-Assad military intervention in Syria, have already caused YouTube to be shut down in the country, as well as leading to fevered accusations of treachery and betrayal of Turkey’s political interests – “a declaration of war,” as Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu put it.

This is of course after intelligence chief Hakan Fidan suggested seizing the opportunity to secure Turkish intervention in the Syrian conflict - a war that has already claimed 140,000 lives, and counting. In the conversation, Davutoğlu is heard saying that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sees any attack as an "opportunity" to increase troop presence in Syria, where it has staunchly supported the anti-Assad rebels.
