Nawww... Obama is a sweetheart. He never does anything to upset anyone in the least. Just a man with a plan and a past president to foil his best efforts. Why..if it weren't for Bush, we'd have a pure Utopia where dogs and cats get along and all is well at the end of every perfect little day. Yes Sir! Poor Obama... Oh woe be him. (rolls eyes like slot machine wheels on a jackpot)


Oh.. about those other nations? I think, just to cite one example, Eva Morales being made to land and subject to United States initiated searching of his aircraft and immediate party, in the hunt for Edward Snowden....was pretty intimidating. In fact, it was SO illegal, it's still a point of debate today as to who said and ordered what, as opposed to "mechanical difficulties" even the media couldn't buy with a straight face for the B.S. cover story afterward.

It wasn't until Obama that we'd seen a sitting Head of State treated like a punk from a 7-11 robbery, caught on the street to frisk and search. (sigh) That was just one......one rather small example, in fact, of how we've stomped across this planet like a rabid bull in a china shop, after a bender.

Obama didn't have to start the party to become it's guest of honor. He didn't have to invent targeted and summary execution of American civilians overseas without any efforts made to arrest for trial. He didn't have to invent the idea of targeted elimination of enemy and civilian alike, by remote controlled gizmos firing death from above and no American within thousands of miles to shoot back at. (Oh..they DO FIND things to kill...we just call it terrorism because when they can't fight the one killing them? Nature DOES find a way..and push button murder is ignorant. He's made that a literal art form.

......and that's pretty intimidating, I'll just bet.

He didn't' have to invent any of these things...or start them...to have taken the art of murder and world conquest with a happy face sticker to levels of absurd criminality. That last word, very carefully and deliberately chosen. That last word...defined for us by International Law as well as our own deeply held national values. (Until we've been told those are stupid, outdated and need trashed, by this President, anyway)

This statement of his is like Charles Manson starting a national movement to end violence and needless homicides. Errrrrr..... Sometimes the message is made a sick joke, by the man who chooses to deliver it. The choice alone determines that.

This man with blood all over his hands, directly, has no business making such idiot-stick statements to humiliate my nation even further.

I feel like I always need to add " Obama is a dirtbag politician like the rest". It's sad you can't have a legitimate debate about his administration....

There are more then a few things to criticize about him. BS campaign promises unkept. All the NSA spying he was against. Gitmo. Arrests increasing in areas he's for ( pot and illegal immigration). All these are crazy hypocritical.

That said, all the " Obamas a Muslim socialist who wants to destroy the country he's the leader of" is ridiculous and makes you all look foolish.

What nations? Bolivia, Yemen, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Syria, (Libya...tho the EU gets most of that credit before Gadaffi was raped and murdered in a filthy street...under command of a man we placed there to do it. He didn't get intimidated, he just got murdered).

Other nations? Hmm... Well, if you're actually serious, we absolutely can make a table of nations with a comment next to each, where appropriate to list, as to what they've had for extremely negative American contact since Jan. of 2009. It's not a high % of the 200 or so nations. It's not half of them. It's enough of them to make asking, as if he's applied no undue pressure on any nation in his Presidency, an absurd contention though.

At least in my opinion, the actions of the U.S.....beyond that which even it's own citizens (like me) are able to excuse or tolerate...isn't something I often here challenged as existing at all. So...We're now a good nation with a friendly and warm image to the world at large? What happened to that violating every one of them, electronically, daily? (That's kind of intimidating too....when you're on the other end of it, I'm sure.)

That's crazy thin..... He searched a plane OMG!!! You might have a point with Pakistan. A small point... But all the rest of the drone strikes were in countries we were already at war with when he took office. Also, Pakistan is bordering on the countries were at war with. They also had already been punked out by GW before Obama was even in office.

All you really did was spout talking points. No just because GW did it first that doesn't give him the right. But obviously in relation to the pres. I have been alive for. No he hasn't been a bully. A lying politician? Yep.

Would you consider it a passing annoyance and 'merely a search' if the Russian Air Force forced Air Force One to land (they're about the only ones on Earth with the power to pull that one off, for why them in the example), so our President could be told to sit down, shut up and wait until the officers completed their nose to tail search of every spot on the airplane?

If it's done to Ma and Pa Kettle on a private charter? No one hears about it and "Ooops" works when nothing is found. If it's done to a sitting Head of State? Well....... I'm happy Morales is either as weak or as nice, whichever it is, as it turned out. What was done...IF pushed....constituted an open act of war. Nothing more. Nothing less....and that was considered worth it to risk to chase little Snowden. Chasing bogeymen and making fools of us all in the process....

* By the way... I'm conservative in my world view, with downright liberal views on issues that might just about shock some if it ever comes up in the right place....but the absolute scope locked obsession on "Right/Left" and how everyone *MUST* fit into one or the other, as if exclusive in all ways to choose...keeps much of that from even coming out. They (I mean they) don't announce that stuff for the benefit of people that can see thru the veil. They do it to reassure the ostriches in denial that everything is ok. Those people have heard rumors but hey, see… Obama says we don't do that. Comfort zone reestablished.

I think you have to use a little common sense here people. I know, know it is hard to expect that from the same people who declare Obama is a bully and warmonger in one breath and then weak in other. So I know asking you to read an entire speech instead of commenting on single line is asking to much. However if you read the speech he talks about taking territory by force. An old concept that has mostly ended in the modern world because of WW1 WW2. He mentions Iraq and that despite the justification of the war being debated that in the end the US did not take Iraq and keep it. If I were him I would have mentioned that the entire problem between the US and Iraq began when Iraq invaded tiny Kuwait. That is just me. So maybe, just once, try reading. Understanding context and themes might help you a bit more than a single line and your ATS version of history. Then again that would ruin all the random ranting and general crazy around here.

Thanks for that. I have to frame that or something....it really does describe so much of what defines the radically different nations that stand on the same real estate between Sept 10th, 2001...and March 27th, 2014. Same land..same citizens...different nations.
