He pins a hi res picture of the moon on his bedroom wall and sets the lighting correctly. Underneath this he places a portable gas fire to produce the hazing effect. Then he waits until his mum goes out to the shops and strips down to his underpants and using his dad's camera zooms in on one of the craters.
