To be fair, no it wasn't!!!

It was Judea... Then it was the Roman Syria Palaestina!!!

The Land/Kingdom of Israel of OT documentation wasn't a Land called Israel in reference to a historical place, but to a historical person...
It was basically the Land of Jacob, but he had changed his name to Israel!!!

Given that, true Israelites are not necessarily from this area, rather they are just descendants of Jacob/Israel!!!
