amazing
We know that true believers will believe in Alien visitation without looking at the evidence or even considering it.

We also know that true Skeptics will believe there is no Alien Visitation without looking at the evidence or even considering it.

LOL

Big problem here on both sides.

True believers usually have had undeniable sightings/contact

Skeptics look at everything and see nothing but that mantra they picked up in the early days of the computer

"C G I" and "C G I" and "C G I "

What about skeptics who have had sightings? Are you saying they don't exist?

How are you even a remotely credible individual insulting someone's intelligence you don't even know, on a conspiracy theory site about Aliens?

You think I CARE?

How in the world are you not a cyber bully? Because you are.

Walk away from the keyboard angry man.

Subject matter annoys you? Don't troll. Grow up.

Notice your self entitlement attitude?

I can't believe this jerk thinks the universe would still exist if no one were to observe it?

Idiot.

I don't think Harte was talking about the subject matter at all. He was talking about you, if I'm not mistaken.

Did you read the quotes of you that he used?

They were showing, just as he said, your erm..ignorance on some things.

And included in those quotes your attitude is hinted at as well.

Condescending, assumptive, defensive, and in your responses to me I'd include putting words in my mouth -- you saying I imply or suggest or outright say things I never did.

I WANT AN ANSWER.

JERK

You're getting plenty of them.

It appears as though you don't like most of them and disagree, preferring to come across somewhat combative.

You asked, I answered.

No, you demanded, and I answered.

If you don't want to know, don't ask.

Insult Chamberf=6 again, and I'll chime in again.

Otherwise, just go on believing the universe didn't exist prior to the existence of life, which could observe it.

Foolish, foolish statement, that.

Harte

If there was no intelligent life?

How would it be noted?

We only know of the big bang from our observations.

If my OP is so terrible, then why such a long thread?

You keep insulting my intelligence when I wrote an OP that didn't die on the first page and not receive a page 2 of replies.

You keep calling me so stupid when everything is in writing as proof and 2 ATS veterans are single handedly ruining the credibility of this website by engaging with an idiot?

My OP was written that way on purpose! You are missing the point!

Remember what I said about how you put words in my mouth --things I never said?

Maybe you'd like to show me where I called you stupid, or an idiot, or a jerk.

Wait...that was you.

Then you call me a stalker?

Several people have multiple posts and replies to you. That's ok, but I'm a stalker.

This thread HAS proven one thing: dictionaries are your friend.

It's cheap I know you didn't mean it that way, but did you just call yourself an idiot?

See in that I didn't even have to put words in your mouth as you do with me. I just had to intentionally misunderstand what you were saying, something IMO you do as well.

It's not what I think about skeptical people on alien discussions...I just hear the, "I need more convincing" line all the time.

A lot of times hardcore skeptics have an attitude of self entitlement, where they don't need to do the research and the believers are the ones looking into things.

Believers and more helpful than skeptics because pondering is important.

If no one observed the Universe, the Universe wouldn't exist.

If we don't look for or observe alien life, it doesn't exist either.

So, skeptics don't look or observe? They don't ponder?
They don't research?

IMO real skeptics do exactly those things, not just accepting something -- but looking for the truth, the proof.

I hear "I need proof" from skeptics not "I need more convincing".

If one is a "believer", do they really continue to seek, search, look, ponder? Since you are fond of over-generalization, don't believers stop all that once they believe?

After this whole thread up to this point, you are still writing things like above quote??

Yes I called myself an idiot. This whole thread is about bashing the OP because I wrote some provocative that got everyone thinking.

Thank me later, it's okay.

Even with some rather obvious explanations of the last part of that post you still don't seem to understand, or choose not to.
Once again, I was giving an example of putting the shoe on the other foot. I said since you are so fond of over-generalizing, what if...

Tldr

Why do you bother?

Silly me, I thought you'd like to know the definitions of the terms and labels you keep throwing around.
Should have known better.

because I wrote some provocative that got everyone thinking.

Thank me later, it's okay.

It was assumptive, condescending and naive. It got people thinking about how obvious the answer to your OP was and later thinking why you then kept asking over and over (even after many many replies to you in the contrary) "do you want to be alone?"

It doesn't matter what we want--or believe-- skeptics or not... It is about what is known at this point, and what can be proven

Why can't you seem to get, accept, or admit that?
