If water exists in huge volumes beneath Earth's crust, it is bound to have a big impact on the mechanics of volcanoes and the movement of tectonic plates. 'One of the reasons the Earth is such a dynamic planet is the presence of some water in its interior. Water changes everything about the way a planet works,' said Pearson.

Pearson obviously believes it exists in both hydrous material and liquid form down there, if not why is he talking about huge volumes effecting tectonic plate movement, obviously he would not say that if he purely believed it to be composed of a solid hydrous layer.

Like I said, if there were large amounts of liquid water down there it would be a big deal. If he thought there were large volumes of liquid water he would have said so. Here is what he actually said.

"Really it's the essence of how plate tectonics works, because water weakens rocks," Pearson said. "And also, water lowers the melting point of rock, so water dictates where many of the Earth's volcanoes are found.

From that same article:

The diamond formed in the "transition zone" around 410 to 660 kilometres below our planet's surface. Analysis of a mineral grain trapped inside it suggests that it came from surroundings that were about one per cent water, report researchers led by University of Alberta geochemist Graham Pearson.

Surroundings of one percent water is not liquid water.

The word 'apsu' comes from the Mesopotamian texts, but the word itself is an offshoot of the Sanskrit word for water. Some academic linguists specializing in Sumerian have decided that the word must refer to streams of underground water, but the word is used in a number of different contexts, which suggests that the Sumerians had more than one meaning for 'apsu.'

The Sumerians lived in the Middle East, and prior to that, they had come from the Punjab region in India. The culture may have been aware that most high mountain ranges were covered in glaciers, but I doubt seriously that anybody living in the Near and Middle East was even vaguely aware that most of the Northern Hemisphere had been covered in an ice sheet one to two miles thick.

I've read myriads of Mesopotamian texts. Not once have I seen any indication that the Sumerians knew a dang thing about the Ice Age.

So when it comes to the floods (and the were a number of them) that engulfed the world as a result of the Ice Age Melt Down, we see the Sumerian texts talking about what they "believed" to be true, but ultimately, what they believed was a far cry from what really happened.

Supposedly a translation of the missing fragment of the Sumerian flood story.

"Before the flood, there was no moon". Does it not seem rather odd to anyone that the moon has massive amounts of water in it? Rumors of a hollow moon? Tiamat, the water planet, now the asteroid belt, minus its waters?

Wild idea here: could our moon LUNA
actually be the former water planet Tiamat?

no, because the Babylonians clearly state that Tiamat is a sea monster. They describe her very well
nothing to do with that description is planetoid.

In the Enûma Elish her physical description includes a tail, a thigh, "lower parts" (which shake together), a belly, an udder, ribs, a neck, a head, a skull, eyes, nostrils, a mouth, and lips. She has insides (possibly "entrails"), a heart, arteries, and blood.

Then there are the thousands of pictures of Tiamat all showing her battling gods. Always showing her as a dragon

The idea that the Enuma Elish has anything to do with outer space is a creation of Zechariah Sitchin, which requires Aliens to be proven. There were no Aliens in Babylonia.
