You seriously don't believe in UFOs do you? Every so called photo or film capture is either fake or easily explained. So what prompts you to keep coming back to this forum on such a regular basis? What are you hoping to see? Something to validate your distant hope that UFOs exist or mere curiosity? Or maybe you feel it helpful to debunk the wide belief in UFOs while pretending to be a believer in them?

I don't believe in UFOs, at least not the alien kind. I do have some curiosity however as I wonder if there exist any earthly made UFO type craft or if they are spiritual entities manifesting as UFO craft, and either phenomenon is captured on film.

However seems everything is fake or cgi or whatever, so even my curiosity is low and only occasionally look in this forum. Everything is so promptly dismissed that it is like visiting a UFO debunking forum. Must be very frustrating being a UFO enthusiast wasting so much time debunking newly posted threads about alleged UFOs, whether text, photo or film. Although I note some have got this down to an efficient art simply by opening new threads and typing - cgi.

Careful assessment of the facts show that ufos are real and intelligently controlled, but you got to do your homework.

Good question sir.

I have seen some (to my way of thinking) credible Unidentified Flying Objects. So I follow the forums to verify what I saw against video/CGI. I cannot CGI what I saw and I am sorry I have no pics or video evidence, however if I did I am sure I wouldn't share it as if I did it would be discussed and torn to shreds.

However I do believe in Unidentified Flying Objects until they are positively identified. I accept plausable explanations but shy from the negative emotional comments directed at those who actually believe they have seen something surreal.

I applaud those who have the ability to rip CGI posts apart with fine evidence.

Kind regards,

Bally

Yes, I do believe in UFO's. I don't believe they are piloted by space aliens, however. I am content to admit that I don't know what they are, and that the vast majority of reports are misidentifications or hoaxes. The credible sightings deserve consideration and investigation, however. I also think the subject gets far more negative press than it should. As for WHY I started believing in UFO's, it's mostly because my father had a multiple witness sighting which he told me about when I was young. You can read about it here on ATS if you like.

UFO's were spotted long before the first airplane was even built. Though there are many hoaxes and most UFO's can be explained, there are legitimate sightings from people all over the world, with all different backgrounds. Airplane pilots, astronauts, police officers etc. Research can take forever but there are compelling stories and fascinating finds if you keep looking.

I would say testimonies from pilots and military sources provide enough information to make ufology a legitimate area of study.

I was convinced before I came to ATS, a few years of being on here have made me more skeptical to the possibilities, I still have a glimmer of belief. I guess now, I would need my own individual experience to truly believe.

I have only seen one convincing video of a UFO that was on ATS, but it was eventually debunked.

300,000 reported sightings annually. That's just the reported ones.. now lets do some maths..
Using Roswell as a beginning point which was in the 50's.. so lets say 70 years

70 x 300,000= 21,000,000 sightings.

Now if you take into account that some of those sightings will be man made ufo or black ops, drones etc. Or weather balloons..or any other BS... lets be extra generous and say 90% of all sightings from the 50's to present day.. that leaves 2,100,000 sightings that are genuine craft that are non human in construction.

I think if you saw a UFO you would believe they are being seen by others. I encourage others to tell their stories. We UFO enthusiasts bother to visit this thread because we want to hear these stories. The "debunkers" don't really serve this purpose, so I just ignore them.

no proof? maybe not for you.

DR j allan hynek from project blue book was the biggest sceptic. he studied UFOs "evidence" and then believed that UFOs exist.

there is also a man named ted,i can not remember his surname who was hyneks understudy. he specialises in collecting evidence in
UFO landings.

i dont mind a debunker with something to offer!

People see things in the sky they cannot explain. If they post their account here, there is a very good chance that what they saw will be identified for them. Hopefully, they will be open minded enough to accept the explanation. Every once in a while, we despised skeptics will be completely unable to explain something. When that happens, the person who spotted it can be proud to claim that they saw a genuine Unidentified Flying Object. It is rare, but the 1/2 of 1% that have both 'high reliability' and 'high strangeness' may tell us important, if disconcerting, things about the nature of the universe. Explaining something this uncanny away as simply friendly visitors from the Pleiades is, well, a disservice.

So you don't believe in aliens but your words as follows:

I do have some curiosity however as I wonder if there exist any earthly made UFO type craft or if they are spiritual entities manifesting as UFO craft, and either phenomenon is captured on film.

spiritual entities?

You give possibility over that rather then extra-terrestrial life?

For me that is hard to swallow.

One day humanity will find out, and hopefully i'll be alive for it.

Not to stray too far from the topic, but why do you believe there is a difference?

Yes I and many other do believe in UFOs. Some of us know they are true having had personal experiences over and over again. That's why we come to this forum. You may live in your state mandated belief system all you want. UFOs are very very real. I do acknowledge as you have pointed out that they may not be alien to this planet, indeed the ufo phenomenon is probably something that our limited mind set may never really understand, just like the cow in the field doesn't really understand what it's doing there or what those farmers they see are all about. But they are out there alright, ufos are real

Good question.

Neither are proven so explaining a difference would be hard for me to do. But with testimony's by Astronauts, military and civilians seeing metallic crafts and other ufo's seem to lead to the possibility of extra-terrestrial in origin (some cases anyway), and spirituality being more abut belief then hard evidence.

Like I said, good question.

You got pretty good responses.
But, there are people( like me) who witnessed a several UFO's during their life times, and there's absolutely no way that they were from this world. Zero chance.

Yeas i think so that there are alien life all over the universum, some behind our evolution and some much further than us, i also think its totally possible that our ancient ancestors met some of them and that even today there are aliens in earth and some ppl get to know this by experience. I dont need to be 100% sure to accept something, becouse if i can proove it wrong one day, then i change my mind but i sure dont want to limit my mind saying its no possibility etc.

I do understant thou, how this alien-ufos etc have become huge money making "entertainment" business and for many ppl its very harmfull, some ppl lose their minds over these things and some ppl act like predators for these poor ppl who cant defend them selfs psychologly.

I don't expect it will change your mind, but you may want to go back to the thread with Stanton Friedman. There is all kinds of evidence that SOME ufo's are not from this world. There is also evidence that there have been quite a few abductions as well from our et visitors, with Mr. Friedman agreeing with me that the most compelling abduction was Betty and Barney Hill. Roswell also happened. The headlines of the Roswell paper were correct the first time around as a Flying Saucer with occupants was indeed found, then the Air Force and the FBI assumed control of the situation and the lies and cover up soon began. You can either ignore the evidence or accept it, as I and many others do.

Depends a lot on what it is they are sharing.

Someone sees something in the sky and they do not know what it is, they should come here and post their encounter with as much information as possible, photographic and video evidence too if they were lucky enough to capture it on a camera (and I mean the raw picture and video).

Sometimes it's going to end up being a very ordinary or mundane thing: ISS passing overhead, Venus on the horizon, etc, simply because they were not familiar with the night sky.

But sometimes it will be something that defies any explanation. Those events do exist.

Reposting someone's YouTube video doesn't always help, and in fact detracts many times from this field of study. It's because many are out to make a buck or try to get attention, and will fake things in order to do so, or take advantage of those who will believe anything without proper research.

People should be leery, and with good reason, as this subject has had way too many people that use it in order to make money or garner fame of some sort.

Even when something has been shown that it is fake, many will not be willing to admit it, especially if they've been very vocal in supporting it. Let's face it: no one like to admit they were taken in by someone else and duped. It's a hard pill to swallow.

I would say to those that do get taken in by a video, or an image, and are thinking "ZOMG!!! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!" only later to find out it was cgi for a promotional stunt, or to advertise for something, to swallow their pride as continuing to support something that's been debunked quite well is not helping this area of study. With today's technology that we have, it's very easy to be fooled.

Because of this, even if you are such a believer in UFOs that you eat, drink and breath UFOs everyday, to approach each case with a big fat question mark. Question EVERYTHING about the case or event. Do not automatically accept everything you see, but instead look at it critically.

If their can be no rational explanation, then it may be the "real deal" then. But if everyone is always swallowing every single thing that they get shown, it only encourages those who know they can fake something and make money off of you, or get that attention that they are looking for.

The entire subject of Ufology would only benefit if enough people were to stop and actually use a critical eye, instead of believing every single thing they get shown.

I have seen a Ufo up closer than anyone on Ats, and know they are real. My feeling on Ufos is however they are a waste of time for me, there is more interesting things in this world than Ufos, and no they are not Aliens.
