You're right, I agree.
But there is no sign that these where brought in. Everything is in its one area as if it all happened there.

So, if these are aborted fetuses, then who's and whats would they be?
I have one female cat, spaded as a kitten, she's now 7 years old.

Would a wild animal actually have a birth on my back porch?

Probably not, so this means that Linus brought them in.

Oh But WAIT!

There is no trail of blood nor sign of any other weirdness. This mess is all self contained.

NOW WHAT?

Clean it up and throw it wrapped in the garbage outside so your cats leave it alone!

Bucket of hot water with a half cup of bleach swabbed on the area where it was...BINGO...all done.

Des

Thanks Des.
So there's no chance that I can't kickstart this back to "alive" status, maybe grow them until they are the correct baby weight, etc?

I would like to find a way to get these pods to "hatch" so to speak.
I feel like that's why they were given to me.

To protect them and raise them as if they were my own.

I think I'm going to need a heating pad

I agree....which is weird. a miscarriage doesn't entail the entire uterus just falling out- prolapse- though very rare- can happen, but that thing looks like it was removed surgically (spay)

No, you don't need a heating pad. You need a mental reboot. They are dead.

Unless you fancy yourself as a new Dr. Frankenstein, throw them away.

"gruesome" is part of pet ownership....is it possible linus needs a more feminine name? or he has a little buddy who will NOT be the baby-mama?

5 flags for a kitty puke thread....not too shabby!!

I just cleaned it up and scrubbed the floor with bleach.
These embryos are now dead, wrapped in plastic.

gross

Maybe I should check to make sure that Linus is really a he.

I just can't see how a wild animal would come through the kitty door were it smells like Linus and just have an abortion.

Wouldn't that kind of thing definitely happen in the woods and not near a house where a cat that will kill you lives???

Yeah, that looks like something once pregnant is no longer pregnant. Dispose of it, and wash the area down, you don't need it attracting anything else to your porch.

And I'm that weird girl who'd grab a sharp object and cut one of those sacks open to see if I could identify what species it might be from. I'm just morbidly curious like that

Hmmm...

Should I?
They're in a plastic bag out in a garbage can behind the studio.

Should I go cut one open and document it for ATS to see?

It's going to be gross, but why not, right?

I'm curious, but reopening it will increase the risk of you getting some sort of disease or infection. Better to leave it alone if you can help it

Your cat drug an animal home and ate the most delectable parts, leaving a few leftovers for you to enjoy.
Have you seen the dog lately?

P.S. I would cut the sac open, myself. Morbid curiosity, I suppose. Looks like rabbit fetuses to me....

EWWWWW no!!!
you've already exceeded the "pics or it didn't happen" rule!!!!

My cat had late life kids at 10. the whole lot of them are now fixed & have current shots, however the baby-daddy rolls around to visit occasionally. Long story short a younger version is now coming around, he's a dead ringer for two of the kids. YAY! it's the baby-daddy's other kid!!!
He came around on an off for 3 months and now shows up with a scruffy black cat....so.....long answer short....your boy Linus may have his own set of peeps who visit his phat pad.

a nanny cam is handy for this stuff.

I actually thought miscarriage as well....open it up op and see whats inside.
When fishing or hunting my first rule is to open the stomache to see what it eats.
Open it...it might be baby kittens and mystery solved.
Its gross I know.

Yeah, I would have to admit my morbid curiosity wants to know what is in those sacks as well.

Perhaps your cat caught a rabbit, brought it on the porch live, clamping down on it's throat so it could not move or breath, killed it, and while it was dying, it aborted?

I'm not sure how that would work, but I wanna know what is in the gunk...lol

Ok, so I cut one open.

It looks like a weasel or a field mouse.

There are no rats here, left those guys behind in nyc.

What do you think it is?

...is it a cat?? Is Linus a she??

Let me go check on that too...
