Shooting in Ukrainian army base near Crimean capital is a 'war crime,' Ukrainian PM says.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk said on Tuesday that the conflict in its Crimea peninsula, now under Russian control, had entered a military phase after an Ukrainian officer was killed in an alleged Russian shooting at a Crimea base.

"The conflict is moving from a political one to a military one because of Russian soldiers," he told a meeting at Ukraine's defense ministry. "Today, Russian soldiers began shooting at Ukrainian servicemen and this is a war crime without any expiry under a statute of limitations."

Such a terrible war crime. So evil are these Russians. Dimitri, keep hiding the evidence of us shooting our own people, it makes us look stupid when we are hypocritically attacking Russia.

Russia now considers Crimea as Russia, so in their eyes, The Ukraine Army is in Russia, They should get out.

Meanwhile Russia sends 24 jet fighters to Belarus while East Ukrainians warn Russia of ‘Partisan warfare’ if they invade East Ukraine.

There is supposedly a "truce" until the 21st, declared on the 16th. Russia was supposedly going to "peacefully" send them packing to Ukraine proper.

A typo? Or a quite wonderfully apposite classical reference calling it Chimera, the sum of disparate parts indeed.

Wait, the soldier was killed in a Crimean base? So this means the Ukrainian army is trying to move into Crimea?

These are Ukrainian military personnel who have been stuck in Crimea since Russia decided to take over Crimea. Has anyone not been watching this? It started several weeks ago..

Prime Minister Yatseniuk needed this to happen.
Now he can appeal to the EU and NATO for military aid and support for his country.
and if that happens Putin has all he needs to order his T-90 Vladimir's to cross the border.

It's just like watching an Angry Birds game, right?

Stuck? Can you be more precise? Are they sequestered against their will? Are they on standby? Did they receive orders to hold ground?

If this soldiers death just happened minutes ago, what I find odd is how fast the propaganda machine was able to find a pic of him in uniform and get it up so quick...........Almost.........................like they had it planned!

One side will profit from this much more than the other probably.

Unknown snipers again huh? Haven't we seen that hand played too many times now?

Thats why it looks so staged. If the bases were surrounded-cordoned as to not allow "evacuation", why was it not in the news?
Furthermore, with the crimean result pretty much a given fact, why is everything still there?

Putin is going to try to rebuild the former Soviet Union.

The Russian people love Putin because he is strong.

Putin sees the weakest Administration in the history of America.

The Russians only understand one thing....Force.

He knows these cowards in DC are too busy getting re-elected to care.

Just like what happened in the Republic of Georgia
When Moscow didn't like what was happening there, they sent in the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation, their FBI, and started handing out Russian passports to anyone who wanted one.

That gave Russia the excuse to send in the tanks and take control--- all on the premise of protecting Russian citizens.

Same things happening here... Estonia and Latvia are probably next on Putin's wish list

They were disarmed by the Russians (those "unidentified masked men") weeks ago and told to go sit in the corner, basically.
