its hard to listen to because it must be hard to translate a live speech, the translator is stopping and starting.

I'm not sure how west will react to direct exposure of some of their policies.

So yes, today Russian Federation was joined by two new subjects: Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
Sevastopol has it's own unique status and is an independent state.
Official languages in Crimea will be Russian, Ukraninan and Crimean-Tatar.

I watched it live with the RT translation.

There was no threat of starting war. Nor will the West start war, they will huff and puff and bring in more toothless sanctions.

Referendums are not for political decisions, they are for changing a constitution.
So voting on a bank bailout is obviously not gonna happen
