I love Sci-Fi, I love apocalyptic films, I love dystopian films so after watching Dredd for the 6 or 7th time I wondered "Which movie has it right?".

So maybe with the over population and us poisoning the planet It may be like Dredd.

Or even worse I fear Soylent Green.

I know many will say 1984 but I think that has already happened more or less.

So any ideas? I hope you suggest one I have not seen yet (Not a chance tbh lol

For me I often think it could be more like the matrix. Something about being in the 6th world. The 6th version of the programmed reality. Things get out of balance as minds begin to awaken. The entire crop must be destroyed. 7th world is created. Something akin to "the great flood." Some of the programs stayed memory intact. Maybe those in the know go along with it to not be deleted.

In this version of the future this is the reason to be in on it. If you are(in on it) maybe there is a place to go to escape the reset..?? This would go along with making sure no one who isn't picked escapes Earth, or society.

I hope the original and not the remake lol.
I hate chest pumping movies which ever way they represent but the remake make me puke a little in my mouth lol.

We are in the matrix. No need for video no need 4 exit. No escape.

Idiocracy, or something along those lines...

Brave New World... maybe?

probably not 1984, or red dawn or any of that, too theatric,

going by current trajectories it will be the same as it is now, but with different music, tech, and fashion.

nothing fundimentally will be all that different

not movie, TV show. Almost Human. Look it up its absolutely fascinating. I'd say it paints the future world as closest as it is going to possibly be.
