“At 20:00 in Crimea, 1,250,426 people voted,” Malyshev announced. “This result does not include Sevastopol. When Sevastopol is included, 1,724,563 people voted,” he said. Therefore, according to Crimean “authorities,” 474,137 people from Sevastopol voted in the “referendum.”
However, as of November 1, 2013, according to the Department of Statistics in Sevastopol, the permanent population of the city numbered 383,499 people, and the total population at that time was 385,462 people.

Have we managed to ascertain if the bloggers initial assumption is correct with a map of polling areas yet?
Is it 474,317 'from' Sevastopol voted or 474,317 voted in Sevastopol?

I wonder if all 123% of them still feel the same way now that Russia has invaded.
Russian forces storm Ukraine Naval HQ in Crimea
Voter turnout in the Crimea on 20:00 (22:00 MSK) was 81.36%, said Mikhail Malyshev.
Turnout in the referendum in the Crimea was the highest in recent years
"At 20:00 in the Crimea voted one million 250 thousand 426 people, - he said. - This is the result, excluding Sevastopol." "In view of Sevastopol voted one million 524 thousand 563 people," - said the head of the commission. That, he said, the figure corresponds to 82.71% According to Malyshev, these figures have not changed.
Mikhail Malyshev , chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea on the organization and conduct of the referendum: "At 20:00 in the Crimea voted 1000000 250 Millennium 426 people. This result excluding Sevastopol. Given Sevastopol voted one million 524 thousand 563 people, which corresponds to 82.71 percent figure. "

Here's the announcement. Does he say 1,724,563 or 1,524,563?
Then we can clear this up finally and put this into the hoax bin.

Since the entire world minus like 5 nations have condemned this action by Russia / Crimea, I would say you guys have a LOT of work to do to justify the illegal actions.edit on 19-3-2014 by Xcathdra because: (no reason given)

All of which is irrelevant and off topic.
123% didn't vote. The blogger got his numbers wrong by 200,000.

Feel free to support your claims with links to the sources you guys made your decision off of please.
Also, if the information is made up wrong, why did Pravda also carry the story?edit on 19-3-2014 by Xcathdra because: (no reason given)

The Treaty enumerates 10 articles which will come into effect after ratification
Russia will guarantee that the people who live in Crimea and Sevastopol will be given the right to keep their native language as well as the means and conditions for learning it.
Thus, article 3 of the treaty stands that there will be three official languages in Crimea and Sevastopol: Ukrainian, Russian and the language of Crimean Tatars.
It is also obvious that there is no legitimate executive authority in Ukraine now, nobody to talk to. Many government agencies have been taken over by the impostors, but they do not have any control in the country, while they themselves – and I would like to stress this – are often controlled by radicals. In some cases, you need a special permit from the militants on Maidan to meet with certain ministers of the current government. This is not a joke – this is reality.
