Vs.

info:

Spawn's body is quite dense, weighing over five hundred pounds (250 kg), and is composed completely of necroplasm. This gives him super strength and durability. While he still has internal organs, they are non-functional, and their damage/destruction does not hinder Spawn in the least. These organs re-appear when he magically regenerates his wounds. This may be due to Spawn's inability to let go of his human self, retaining his human organs even though he no longer requires them (similar to Swamp Thing).

Spawn wears a living symbiotic costume, Leetha of the 7th House of K (aka: K7-Leetha). While wearing it the host assumes a dominant role over his suit. His cape, spikes, chains, and skulls are all part of an organism bonded to his central nervous system that will protect Spawn even if he is unconscious.

The true source of the costume is the necroplasm in Spawn's body, from which it feeds. It is possible for Spawn to draw this energy back when he needs it, using it to power his abilities without draining his own reserves. The costume can also feed off evil energy from the physical world, feeding off the ambient evil of people, animals (mainly carrion insects, but also wolves and bats) and even certain parts of the city. A part of his physical powers actually comes from his suit, because of its connection to his nervous system, he is able to use it in a shapeshifting manner, like more spikes wherever he wants them to be, a thick suit of armour around his whole body or lets his cape turn into a battle axe, as seen in Soul Calibur II and Spawn: Armageddon, but one of its simpler, but not less effective actions, is to strike in battle with its extreme preciseness and cut limbs, weapons, or disarm enemies of the latter.

Spawn has vast magical powers. In the issues before issue #50, Spawn had a limited power supply whose quantity would be shown to the reader in the form of a counter that began at 9:9:9:9. Each time Spawn used his energy, the counter would drain. Because of this, he relied primarily on his costume's natural abilities to fight, or on weapons. Other than the counter, the only limit was Spawn's imagination. Though he always tried not to expend a lot of magic, he has been shown using it for a variety of effects including resurrecting the dead, firing blasts of necroplasmic energy, teleportation, shapeshifting, and curing the sick.

...

As Eddie Brock explained,[9] the Carnage symbiote was born with abilities even more singular than those of its progenitor—due to the fact that it gestated in an environment alien to it—Earth. The alien symbiote endows Cletus Kasady with enhanced physical strength greater than that of Spider-Man and Venom combined[9] and shape-shifting abilities, allows him to project a web-like substance from any part of his body including the formation of weapons, and enables him to plant thoughts into a person's head using a symbiote tendril.[32] Much like Spider-Man, Kasady has the ability to cling to virtually any surface, and has a version of Spider-Man's spider-sense, as the symbiote can relay information to him from any angle and grants Kasady the ability to "see" in any direction, warning him of incoming threats.[11][33] He can rapidly crawl, walk, or run across even slick surfaces. The Carnage symbiote has similar abilities of that of Spider-Man's as a direct result of the Venom symbiote's first host, Peter Parker, who transferred some of Spider-Man's power into the symbiote.

He is able to rapidly regenerate damaged body tissues much faster and more extensively than an ordinary human. It is not known, however, if he can fully regenerate severed limbs or missing internal organs; he was fitted with artificial legs after being torn apart by the Sentry, but this occurred while he was separated from the symbiote.[volume & issue needed] Kasady is also immune to the effects of all Earthly diseases and infections as long as he remains bonded with the symbiote. Like Venom, the symbiote is vulnerable to sound (to a much smaller degree than Venom) and heat (to a much larger degree than Venom),[34] and is undetectable to Spider-Man's spider-sense. Unlike Venom, Carnage can launch parts of his symbiote at enemies in the form of solid weapons such as darts, spears, knives, axes, etc., although they disintegrate into dust within ten seconds of leaving Carnage's body.[11] Carnage also has the strange ability to warp his appendages into different arms, legs, and even wings. This is shown on several occasions when Carnage mutates his fingers and arms into what look like large swords.

Kasady has full control over the size, shape, color (usually red and black), texture, and hardness of his symbiote (and any part thereof). Like Venom, he can make his symbiote look like normal clothing (which he has done on rare occasion), or act as "camouflage". With the symbiote bonded to his bloodstream, he can "regenerate" his costume from scratch simply by bleeding. His symbiote has the peculiar ability to block its parent's (Venom's) ability to sense and track it.[34] The symbiote is also able to rapidly adapt to new environments; when Kasady was taken into space by the Sentry,[21] the Carnage symbiote was able to save his life by growing small sacks around his mouth that converted carbon dioxide into oxygen, allowing Kasady to stay alive long enough for him to be recovered.[22]

In some interpretations, the Carnage symbiote is vampiric, feeding on and thus endangering his victims by mere touch.[21] The symbiote has also shown the ability to call back parts of itself back to the main symbiote, adding it to the parts that already make up the symbiote. It can also send commands that cannot be resisted to parts of itself that are in technology, used to break the bones of the Iron Rangers when they challenged Carnage while wearing symbiote-enhanced technological exo-suits. Using these last two abilities, Carnage absorbed the five Iron Rangers, and consequently grew to an enormous size and assumed the color blue.[22]

Finally, Carnage's powers have always been abnormally enhanced from the maniacal will and insane worldview that Cletus Kasady has had from the age of 8 years old onward.[35] Kasady sees "chaos" and random, undirected violence as reality, and considers "order" and virtue to be illusions.[36] He takes an almost artistic pride in his mayhem,[17] likes to leave a trail for others to follow (usually leaving the phrase "Carnage Rules" written in his own blood), and is recklessly willing to take on the most dangerous and powerful of opponents and victims.[36] (On rare occasions, however, he has deliberately spared individuals in order to serve as witnesses for others—for instance, Joe Robertson's wife Martha during Savage Rebirth.[17]) Kasady is essentially taking revenge on the whole world for the torment—both real and imagined—of his childhood

Todd mcfarlane worked on Venom and Carnage when he was at Marvel, before he left and created spawn.

All interesting concepts from someone many consider a visionary in the comic book world.

Taking the chains off Carnage from being in a Spiderman cartoon and capable of expanding his boundaries as a murderous psychopath capable of many feats.

How do you see him fairing against Spawn?

two of my favorite comic characters. i have collected many spawn comics (have the fist ten issues and many more) plus lots and lots of carnage series and his original appearance issues.

as for who would win i would probably have to go with spawn only because the symbiote carnage can be separated from it's host using ultra sonic sounds just like venom. which, spawn is not affected by, he cannot be separated from what is the source of his power. though he time will run out unlike carnage who has no ticking clock.

After reading the info I posted in the op. It is clear to me that Carnage is basically Spawn's Joker! Carnage is gonna push Spawn to limits he would never have gone to if not for Carnage's existence.

But tell me I'm curious how does Spawn find Carnage's weakness to High frequency's? I would think the weakness to heat would be found before that!

haha, yeah well the thing is carnage kinda is like the joker because he has no limits he wouldn't go to to win a fight. he is absolute insanity incarnate. where as spawn though spawned from hell still has a conscious to his actions but i think is smarter than carnage and more capable of outwitting him. plus spawn has resources carnage does not. ways of obtaining knowledge and weaknesses where as carnage is just completely on his own. though i love carnage and he is a highly capable killing machine i still think spawn would take em.

If scenario is what you need I got it.

Clown sees what Spawn should have been in Carnage recruits him to kill Wanda. Spawn shows up no mercy!

Hellacious battle ensues.

There is another psychological side to this "fray"...Carnage could control Wanda with a symbiotic thread and rip Spawn apart emotionally.
