Hey All, while a person dying is not good news to anyone, especially someone who risked his Life for others, whether the war is Just or Unjust, turning this thread into ATS Politics does nothing but tarnish the Memory of this Marine in particular. Please Keep it OUT of this topic.

For the most part you are right one this one, but as you have seen with the 'reaction' by some to what this man did and the immediate cry of evils of the war, it is a good sampling of the ATS crowd. Not all I will admit but reading through these posts give one the perspective.

May this man rest in peace........and may his family cope with the added hardship of another death.

Peace be with you Marine.

Semper Fi Marine. We need more role models such as this Marine and the Pat Tillmans of the world. To much idol worship around a bunch of overpaid thug athletes.

May God bless all of the soldiers, airmen, marines and sailors who have given their life in war or peace. More importaintly may God protect the soldiers still in harms way.

Ed , I see what you are doing and I have to say its a sneaky tactic, be warned I am watching.
Second I havent really seen any negative reaction to this marine, apart from him being there in the first place.

sneaky I am not, I am just proving a point, read through this thread and you will see what some of the 'anti-war-at-any-cost' crowd is capable of....it's there in their own words.....

Dont think i dont know what your plan is involveing all these threads.
Frankly i think the "anti-war-at-any-cost" is good, we need an objective voice so we can judge the situation perfectly.

It can never be perfect especially when you only have "two" views...

There is more then just black and white... There are many views to understand, and that would be impossible, therefore perfect doesn't exist.

This goes out to all you cheetoh eating, know it all couch po-ta-toes.
The Marine is hand died for his fellow Marines, bottom line. It was not a last minute act of suicide, he would have done it even if he were 100% good to go.
Untill you have been there or unless you have met this Marine then keep your personal anti-doing what's right comments to yourself. You say all this trash about him on the internet, but come to his unit and say that to his fellow Marines and see what happens....go ahead grow a pair and do it!!

Anti-War is good by me, but don't say that This Marine commited suicide...he did'nt. I know!! He gave his life for his friends, that same that "MOST" of you would for your daughters, moms, sons and wives...or would that be called suicide too...dying for your loved ones I mean.

Hmm, curious. I assume your replying to me, as thats the logical thing to do. I also assume that because I sit on a certain side of the fence, that I must therefore share evry same view that everyone on said side of fence shares? Well, that might be how you republicans do it, but I sure as hell don't.

I have an individual opinion and I state as much. Anything I don't add to that opinion should not be attached to me - I DIN'T SAY HE COMMITED SUICIDE!

I just said if this was an iraqi you'd all be saying the usual "Well, these things happen in War", as has happened everytime a story about Soldiers shooting civilans surfaces.

GET A GRIP ON REALITY

The death of Iraqi civilians is not justifiable. But c'mon man, this man gave his life for others...he knew he would die when he done it. That's love, that's bravery, that's whatever you want to call it...point being he should be praised, he is also a casualty of war just like the Iraqi Civilians. Just don't knock on him like a some people in this thread have done. Whatever the goverments agenda is being there, that's besides the point. Marines and Soldiers go over there to help and if you have seen the people you would understand...they love us helping them.

Well done, pat yourself on the back and get one of your Medal of Honours before they run out.

As a human being, he deserves a certain amount of respect for what he has done, but nevertheless, how can I not be riled that so many people will label this man a hero and would in the same breath spit on the grave of an Iraqi who died in similar circumstances, simply because they stand on the other side of the divide, they have a different cause to fight for. Does this make them less human than the soldier? No.

It's people like Sgt. Peralta that make America great.

Rest In Peace, Sgt.

Semper Fi

PS: How dare you undermine this act in anyway. It's pathetic, really.

A Marine who oath to this United States has proven of honor that words can not express. As the horn blows of farewell, the flag folded and presented to his family, we stand to salute in his memory of being the best he could be in life. God speed my brother safely home away from the tears you will not have to shed. Your soul shines bright and no longer need to eat, nor drink. The Holy light is life forever.

I would like to congrats to those who seam to mock anything we veterans find dear to our hearts, family and friends. Again, I have seen disrespect on a thread that anything and everything is for pop-shots. This is not the thread to do it on. If you have nothing good to say, keep it to yourselves.

Final note: Liberals would dance on veterans graves when you are not looking........My personnal opinion.

Golden Shellback.........Fear from the deep

Well I guess some actually went back and read the comments in this thread by the leftist-peacenick-socialist-scumbags...it is good that you all read it as it shows just what we face in the world.

This man gave the ultimate sacrifice and yet some people still mock it......just like the veterans back from Nam...

Sad part is these fools don't understand that these soldiers fought and died to give them the damn right to mock them in the first place..

Burn some flags you anti-patriot americans.....it makes me sick.

Truly the WWII generation was the best, this one just plain sucks.

Its all me me me me me me, what is in it for me? Why should I have to? What have you don't for me lately?

Disgustinig....
