First off, I think the cop was wrong to cite her for correcting the map. BUT... she was wrong, wrong, wrong for putting up the fuss. All she had to do
was calmly take the citation and tell the officer that she planned to contest it. Then, go to court and contest it. She would have had a very good
case, as she was an employee of the university, and the markings she made on the map were helpful and not harmful. If she had written curse words on
the map, or drawn pornographic images on the map, etc., then I could see her deserving a citation, but that's not what happened. If she had just
stayed calm, she could have won this hands down. Now, she looks like the crazy person on the video, who had to be arrested just to get the citation -
which won't help her case at all. It's like when a cop pulls you over and gives you a traffic ticket. If you feel the cop was wrong and the ticket
was unjustified, you don't scream and yell and curse at the cop and refuse, you take the ticket and contest it in a court of law. Simples.
