I think most Nuclear Power Plants have at least 72 hours of back up power in their back up batteries.
Try six months. American reactors all trip with an unlimited amount of sea/river water that floods the reactor with nothing but gravity and no power
is needed. Backup power is triple redundant with natural gas-stored on site-diesel and gasoline generators. At Browns Ferry for example, it would take
6.5 or higher magnitude earthquake to make the Tennessee river flow in reverse to create an accident sequence. If that was to happen millions would be
killed anyway so a tripped reactor will be the least of worries.
