I'm confused..

WHO are they giving control To?

ICANN is going to help make the transition it says but it seems as it reads - like they are just a middle man. Who is getting this control and why? How will this effect everyday users like me?

Here is a site I found that explains alot. ( As always verify what you read for yourself.)

www.collective-evolution.com...

Well, the same ones that own all of our mainstream media networks, also own, run and created the United Nations. The owners of the United Nations use their media networks to influence the perception of billions of people. Not many people know that our mainstream media networks are owned by less than 5 multinational corporations, and all of these corporations have ties to the Rothschild and Rockefeller families.

Just WHAT are they giving away?
ISP's own the hardware that gives us our connections. Other companies own the infrastructure. So it seems to me what they are giving away is the CONTROL of the internet!

And they are mostly base oversea, actually most of the conglomerate media is under foreign influences as per number of the highest holder of shares, including the middle east.

That is what they are planning for the net, create a fake ownership and sell shares of it, go any investor that wants to buy them.

That is the way I see it.

Yes, control is power. Control, which the US largely held, over domain naming. It is structural, hierarchal, and somewhat complicated.

With so much traffic online now, they had to open up domain naming to broader spectrums, it used to be very limited, and only to three letter extensions such as:
.com
.org
.net
.gov

Etc. However, I believe it was just in the last couple years, if not just last year, they were literally running out of domain numbers. Each website breaks down to a number, I will just randomly give one, so don't try to use this!! Such as 192.168.1.1
What happens is, when you run out of domains, thats it. So, they opened new domains, which meant new extensions:
.sex
.gay
.porn

As you see, they also opened up to four letter domains, which added an extra level of complexity to it.

If these new overseers continue to add domains, what will happen is, effectively, overcrowding, slowing down, and eventually breaking the structure.

As with anything, there are limits. For each email address you have, say at At&t.net, you may also have a seperate ip address for it. Some hosts automatically give 5 or even 10 free email addresses when you sign up for their services. Unecessary, but it looks good! It attracts customers.

Many domains are assigned in huge blocks, anyway, so most of the numbers like the sample above, are already taken. They have no choice but to create new numbers. However, the ability to handle the numbers is NOT infinite. Therein lies the problem.

Add to all of this, cellphone use, and you have a whopper of a problem, as each cellphone also takes ip space, if it has web access.

You are right, on that, now with the smart TVs connecting to the internet we no longer have unlimited data usage like we used to before, now we are sold the usage because is money to be made, the more gadgets you have that connect to the net, the more money is to be made as you increase usage for everything, we are now connected in many ways that we can even imagine.

I wonder if this outer net has anything to do with this. I received an email from motley fool, and investment firm, encouraging us to invest in the next big thing related to this outernet, comparing it to the next windows or amazon for big returns.

Forget what you know about the Internet, especially the part where you have to pay to access it.

A New York City-based company, the Media Development Investment Fund, plans to launch hundreds of low-cost miniature satellites known as “cubesats” into orbit around the Earth to create the Outernet, a wireless connection to the Web available for free to every person in the world. If everything goes according to plan, the Outernet could be here as soon as June 2015.

Each cubesat receives data from a network of ground stations around the world and transmits this information on a loop until new information is received. This means using the Outernet will be more like watching a program broadcast on TV, though Outernet users will build a priority list for the information they want and make suggestions for new content.

www.ibtimes.com...
It says not until June 2015 so I don't know if this is part of this move or not.
How will this change of the Fed relinquishing control affect us?

ETA: A thread about outernet.

Does anyone know if this is connected to the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) ?

The whole thing reeks of NWO Global Agenda21 Malarkey.

Ahhhh yes . . . the globalist Rockefellers . . . who have also publicly said that a free and open internet is a very dangerous thing that must be stopped, trashed, forbidden, removed in the interest of the NWO.

Treacherous traitors all--are such elite.

www.icann.org...

Here is a listing, with photo's, of the current ICANN board of directors.

www.icann.org...

The Finance Committee, with photos

www.icann.org...

Board meetings and minutes

www.icann.org...

"Our goal is to achieve equitable stakeholder participation in bottom-up fashion so as to assure ecosystem legitimacy and continued Internet success. It has grown smoothly in the last few decades to serve more than 3 billion users and will have to handle several billion additional users and devices in the years to come."

And the bullet points say a mouthful, don't they?

New mechanisms to map issues to solutions are needed.

New localized mechanisms and national and regional Internet governance structures are needed.

ICANN needs to further globalize.

Global, regional, and national forums and dialogues on Internet governance issues must be strengthened.

Expert communities are needed to support Internet governance structures and mechanisms.

More empowerment, development, and tools are needed to enable Internet governance mechanisms and structures at the global, regional, and national levels.

Gotta love those codewords. Empowerment, ecosystems, global governance.

I have to wonder how long Obama has been planning this, and to actively, quietly, release this as a Friday news dump is the same as not releasing it at all. This reeks of intent to hide it, just as every other intentional Friday news dump has.

Most media will simply not even notice. If they do, any clamor will largely be over come Monday morning.

This is along the lines of signing the UN gun treaty. A big middle finger at the country.

The Friday news dump has been a mechanism this administration has used since week one to try to hide and stifle news on matters that would otherwise blow up on a Monday morning.

With so much attention on the damned airplane right now, I doubt this will be much more than a feather in the wind.

I hope Anon grabs onto this.

At least they may get it noticed.

Not sure, but if we can research some names, I just provided links to the Board. If we can get other names lists, I would be happy to play connect the dots!

We already know this is a Rockefeller deal. So, we can start from there, and work our way down.

If you wish to help research, that would be great!

Exactly, because there are too many free-thinkers, and we are seen as anarchists, a danger to global peace, and certainly, to the New World Order of sheeple. We interject anarchy, which is nothing more than....

thinking for yourself, rather than being TOLD what to think.

In a progressive world, one must sit down, shut up, not ask questions, do as you are told, and never, ever, question anything. It as, afterall, for your own good. Because, we are too stupid to know how to do anything for ourselves, let alone, to think independently.

The whole progressive movement, starting with the Rockefellers, all the way to their Obama puppet, are narcicists to the core.

Only they are right, only they know everything, and only they have the control.

And we take it. Over, and over, and over....

You may well be on to something, by George! You are so bright! I love it, thank you! I simply went to the TPP Wiki, I know, I know, but! There was JUST enough there to really whet the appetite! Seriously!

One of the quotes, which I won't link, referred to trading in DVD's from other countries, particularly anime and manga (guess what country had THAT concern), also mentioned IP addresses. Then, in the further reading, it got even better. That part, I will link!

en.m.wikipedia.org...

with the stated goal of giving the US government and copyright holders additional tools to curb access to "rogue websites dedicated to the sale of infringing or counterfeit goods", especially those registered...

I cannot help but think of the post on the first page about being extradicted for posting something offensive.

How can the term "rogue" be expanded? Think about it. Wide open verbage, open to wide open interpretation. And, didn't they want to crack down on conspiracy sites? Maybe the US can't, but....

Perhaps it goes further and deeper than that? Still and quiet waters run deep, afterall.

The Congressional Budget Office estimated that implementation of the bill would cost the federal government $47 million through 2016, to cover enforcement costs and the hiring and training of 22 new special agents....

Oh yes. I think you pinged on something.

Money talks, doesn't it?

This Wiki page is a great read, keeping in mind Wiki is a great place to START research. It gives great clues, and places to go, and things to do!

Not only that Marge, but remember just a few months ago, after the Snowden revealtions and revelations that Angela Merkels' phone was tapped and recorded, many countries became simply furious with Obama. Germany, France, to name two.

It very well could be this is being done willingly by other countries because the US waayyyy overstepped the bounds of what is right and wrong, and largely did it via the internet and net tools.

Think about that a long minute. Rockefeller could well have been the main puppetteer for some time, while we all got sidetracked with Soros, etc. We suspected, but I think this whole thing fairly seals the deal, don't you?

Rockefeller, all the way. Soros is along for the ride, taking advantage when he saw fit. Heck, he hedged on the US stocks crashing just a few weeks ago.

Rockefeller put his foot down. Obama is a lame duck, and he took the chance to move now, while the country is in apathy.

And the chess game continues.

something strange here with ICANN...

The initial report of ICANN's Expert Working Group has recommended that the present form of Whois, a utility that allows anyone to know who has registered a domain name on the Internet, be scrapped.

It recommends it be replaced with a system that keeps information secret from most Internet users, and only discloses information for “permissible purposes”.

ICANN’s list of permissible purposes includes Domain name research, Domain name sale and purchase, Regulatory enforcement, Personal data protection, Legal actions, and Abuse mitigation.

Whois has been a key tool of investigative journalists interested in determining who was disseminating information on the Internet.

The use of whois by the free press is not included in the list of permissible purposes in the initial report.

Proposed Elimination of Public DNS Whois

Got to love the Friday night news dumps, eh? My husband was playing with a new phone he got from work, and hit up Drudge. There it was.

I just happened to see it on Drudge too, then checked to see if there was a thread here yet and saw this one.

I had a similar thought... they announced it on a Friday night. You know when they do that they don't want people to notice.

And I figure when the world is potentially on the verge of WW3 (US/NATO/Ukraine/Crimea/Russia) and all eyes are on the Twilight Zone-like disappearance of a Malaysian Boeing 777 airliner and they still feel the need to release this news on a Friday night, they REALLY want to bury it.

The internet as it is now is perceived as a threat to the power broker/New World Order folks. It's one of the last places where ordinary people can communicate in a mass-media-like fashion and communicate relatively freely (though apparently not too securely or privately). Those in power would really like to take that way and just have the internet be a giant shopping mall and propaganda mill.

You know it's part of the NWO agenda when you have a US Senator named Rockefeller supporting it. There's no way anyone in Congress would think this is in the USA's best interests, and the name does say a lot. Only a globalist would think this is a great idea.

The news made a point of saying that the reason this is going to happen finally now is because of the reaction to NSA spying. Which means that if Snowden hadn't blown the whistle, they might not have had enough support. Amazingly, Snowden managed to blow the whistle on the NSA in such a big way and still lived to make it all the way to Russia by a pretty slow and indirect route. Now he's protected by Putin at a time when Putin and the US aren't on the best of terms at this moment (at least as far as the general public can tell).

Now maybe I've just been a 'conspiracy nut' too long, and probably not everything I mentioned is connnected quite so much, but I can't help thinking we've all been set up big time. And that it's getting pretty close to checkmate.

Ok, let me spark the conspiracy theories here, Remember people when Obama signed in 2012 by executive order to give the government powers over the internet in case of an emergency or that is what they call it, the tittle was "Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions" to the DHS

Well, while this made news and rightful so, due to the fact that the government was giving itself ownership of the internet to do as will by EO, now we may see the ramifications of this, the US government like another poster said has actually call itself the originators of the internet and by that it means that they own it, as owners they can pretty much do as they wish with it.

So now is supposedly giving away this ownership to not the people, but rather an international soon to be established community (Probably greedy investors) runs by crocks like Rockefeller that will be taking the role of enforcing and monitoring anything within the internet, what this means, well like I say before, the net is now for sell
