I would love done follow up info on this story? It's been 4 days.

Yes it has been days now since the fabricated story appeared. Now remember that the original website making the claim stated that the drones were US Army, identified as Hunters and that two had been downed from a specific US Army unit.

Now think long and hard about the facts as presented. Do you seriously think that Obama as Commander-in-Chief could cover up losing two US Army Hunter drones and keep it from US Congress? Kept a secret from all the Republicans gunning for him and his every move? Seriously? If the story was true it wouldn't remain undisclosed in such a political and propaganda environment. It wouldn't have escaped US Congress. Think about it? Two military assets lost under Obama's command and he gets away with it? Yes exactly those losses wouldn't remain hidden. They would also be prime time on the likes of Russia Today as a massive propaganda victory with the UAVs or remnants displayed as clear evidence of US meddling in Crimea and failing badly!

This story is also being further spun with the Ukrainian Border Guard footage being claimed as coming from the 'downed' US Army Hunters. The footage is from a manned DA-42. You can see the fixed crew steps from 01:26 as the sensor rotates to keep monitoring the target area.

Shame, Russian UAV tech is crap, they could have done with that technology.

Is it? I would have assumed their UAV is on par with our own. I know when we lost the drone in Iran, Russia and China both made requests to review the debris. If Iran can make a knock off with their current technology one would assume Russia / China could make a version that is close to our capabilities.

What is Russia's top of the line UAV?
