'That' which is real does not appear to exist.

Can you see what is seeing?

Seek that which is seeing.

Can the dreamer of the dream ever be seen? Or is it just the dream scene that is seen?

We may never know if the dream is really seen. Or if we seem to believe the scene we have seen.

There appears to be colour and sound and then a thought appears that says I see I hear.
Is there a 'who'??
'Who' could possibly know?

Only the person it appears to. And even then.....

Live life under the assumption that everything you hold most dear is quite likely wrong.

The best place to start is with that which cannot be denied.
Can you say you are not?
When you say 'I am' you can then realize that no thing can appear without your presence. But is 'presence' personal?
Consciousness is not personal.

In consciousness all things appear and disappear - all is passing, arising and subsiding.

You as you 'think' you are (a person) - are not.

I am and I am not.

I cannot say that I am not.
I can say that things "may" appear without my presence but I cannot be sure of it.

Consciousness is only personal because we can never be sure of other consciousness's"

I as I think I am "may" not be.

Does any 'thing' actually ever exist?
Or is this just an endless flowing river of ever changing experience?

Thank you very much. My "answer" revelation came to me as part of a 5min set I want to do. And I'm listening to Bill Hicks as I continue to babble. He's got nothin on Carlin or the GOAT which is Pryor but he's on my Mt rushmore as Lebron would say.

If you are interested in looking deeply into what existence/experience is then I would like to introduce you to Peter Brown.

Do not be put off by the title 'Reincarnation' - Peter is asked what reincarnation is and answers that before reincarnation can be explored one must investigate what 'incarnation' is.
He really takes the lid off the box.

Then what are dreams? Life? Giving other names to things is easy. Apples are oranges. Cats are dogs. But upon closer inspection, it becomes quite meaningless.

Everyone knows what the question is.

An answer without the question avoids the chance of a loaded question.
The reason I think that this is the answer is because it is not only open to all variations but answers all variations also.

Cheers. Simplicity is the key to a good solution.
This isn't an exercise in semantics, I truly believe this "answer" is the real deal.

Nothing divine, nothing sacred. Just common sense based in the reality that we should accept we cannot understand.
