Gaza militants fire barrage of rockets into southern Israel

A barrage of at least 35 rockets was fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel on Wednesday evening. There were no casualties.

In response, the IDF fired shells into the Gaza Strip, saying two "terrorist infrastructures" were targeted.

I'm staying agnostic about this, but am seeing an increasing amount of Twitter traffic about this, including the following.

it happens more often than we here...media decides when to pick these stories up...co-worker has family in Israel it this appears to be the normal occasional shelling..

Yah, them damn Gaza prisoners, can't they just accept their lot and comply with their life sentence?

I'm guessing those s*** and sugar bottle rockets made a lot of noise but failed to actually penetrate Israeli airspace.

I don't imagine the IDF will laugh and see humor in all this. Naww... I think they'll even take it a little personal. What was this supposed to accomplish aside from basically ordering up a retaliatory strike from Israel?

It's not the rocket's..it's where they came from that count's and i don't mean where they were fired from, i mean who sold them to the Palestinians..and we all know where the finger of jerusalem will point.

Well if they had something to fight with besides their urine and media attention they would surely use it. But their "homeland" is a prison after all…

As I said in the OP I'm going to stay agnostic in the thread about who started this and who drew first blood. And who is right or wrong.

My bigger concern is where it might lead.

You'd think if the Palestinians had some sense, then they'd stop launching missiles and go for the sympathy vote.

You can't be both victim and aggressor, but it's what's they want and it's not working.

i love the way mulims alway provide a perfectly timed attack just when it justifies what ever aggression Israel has planned

But they do...They throw the rock and hide their hand. Then when Israel takes reprisals..they're on the TV crying " Look, look what these dogs are doing to our homes....then send their 5 year old to throw rock's..
