Who would you pick for a first contact scenario ?

I asked this to Stan a mo ago and someone said to make a thread.

So who would you pick, for example we get a message on all TV's etc saying pick a few people and meet us here.
I would pick Neil deGrasse Tyson because he appears to be a sane guy and may understand more of what the ET people may say.
So any better ideas?

I would say Charles Krauthammer. He is a very calm man, and seems to look at things from a very straight forward, and logical way.

I would hope that calm attitude would carry over to a contact situation

Ken Ham mostly because I want to see how the argument goes down when he tells the aliens that they can't exist because that goes against the literal word of the bible.

Oh and Chris Hansen, someone needs to bring those aliens to account for all that probing.

Me and a bunch of other normal people , we would have no agenda and would be representative of the majority of people on this planet , scientists and politicians should be kept as far away as possible.
If there was to be a first contact I think that's a gig we would all want to be part of.

My dog, because everyone likes her and if they had any plans to destroy the planet, her sweet face would talk them out of it.

That, and any alien will be just as likely to be able to communicate with a dog as a person. Both situations are just as likely.

No!!! they would just steal him and he would never be seen on ATS again and we can not have that.

I think I would choose Michio kaku. I think he would have the best chance of finding different creative ways to communicate with them

I agree with you, Gortex.....I'd love to nominate myself, I have no agenda and I'd like to know the truth first hand for once.......I have the feeling scientists and politicians would hide things from us.

You have to bring the non believer as the front man. No other way. He will check the alien from top to bottom to be sure its real, if its real, then we can be assure no more debunking, and he will have lots and lots of question, far more better than us can make up, what better than that ?

While hes away, we can start conspiring about his whereabouts and wether US will attack the aliens
