You SHOULD be very afraid for yourself. That's the POINT. The BEGINNING of wisdom is FEAR OF GOD!

hm

Sorry - not afraid. I'm doing my best to be my best self to my ultimate capability. If that's not good enough, oh well.

Fear of God? Nope. Not even convinced there is such a thing. I'm not afraid.
Where did you hear that the beginning of wisdom is fear of God?

I don't agree. But, of course, that's fine if you think so.

As Socrates said:

When I left him, I reasoned thus with myself: I am wiser than this man, for neither of us appears to know anything great and good; but he fancies he knows something, although he knows nothing; whereas I, as I do not know anything, so I do not fancy I do. In this trifling particular, then, I appear to be wiser than he, because I do not fancy I know what I do not know.

Of course it is...

Like it, don't like it, it matters not.

Oh, it matters.

This is what the Bible says, so this is the message relayed.

Yup. How do you know the Bible is true? Because the Bible tells me so!

Circular logic at it's finest!

Unitarian Universalist. We are all saved, no matter how clumsy. God rejects no one, and we are all connected.

I'm an anti-theist as well, when it comes to children.

Unitarian Universalist congregations together affirm and promote seven Principles. We also share a “living tradition” of wisdom and spirituality, drawn from many sources.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Like I said before, I'm not threatening anyone. I'm just explaining that meta-physically, and supernaturally, this is how it works.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"

Great people though one religion I could actually agree with.

From what I can observe, the world, universe, and everything around us work in cycles, or circles. Why should the Word of God be any different?

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Religion indeed today it is the tool of the Devil.

Religion doesn't confirm the existence of God,but of the Devil.

But still...then why in the moment of death all the humans are calling the name of God?

They are afraid of something and I wonder of what.

The passing can be easy or hard, depending on what or better said how they have lived their life on Earth.

As the place to be after.

Ya and a washing machine goes in circles too. Does that mean God is a washing machine???

Comparing physical motion and Circular Logic doesn't mean anything just because they have something to do with circles.

I'm sure it does.

Maybe you shouldn't fear getting an education. Then you might understand why your comparison makes no sense at all, yet for some reason you still claim it holds a lot of meaning for you.

I know what you mean by "Circular Logic", but I appreciate that you're up front with me about how educated you think I may or may not be.

Call it what you want, it's what I believe, and I'm not hurting anyone by pleading that others do as well.

Annoying? Sure.

Freedom from religion is a right of ours, you infringe that right talking about it.
You are free to practise it just don't do it in public.

This is a Religion, Faith, and Theology forum...
You created this thread on your own volition, as is your right.

I'm discussing it, which is mine.

Then by all means, keep it up then. I'm sure it's working out great for ya.

Like you said, "You're just a crazy guy telling nonsense" to anyone who will listen. I'm sure the world would be a greater place if everyone did the same, right??

Oh, nonono...I don't "go there" - it's just the closest sort of religion I could find to support my beliefs.

No. I don't go to any church, and have no intention of it. No need. As an agnostic, it just seems the most reasonable and socially just.
