Another good interview by Abby Martin. The sad or interesting part about all this is that she's not saying anything that ground breaking. Most people are already aware of her perspective but the thing is, no one in media ever says it.

One thing has become incredibly clear since the Ron Paul campaign, even the so called "liberal" media fear mongers and is pro-war (its not just Fox or the "right").

This is how conspiracies get started. Who or what is controlling the media that they all support the foreign empire and endless war-fare?

Abby Martin:

"We're talking about six corporations that control 90% of what Americans see, hear and read. The lead up to the Iraq war parodied (?) exactly what the establishment said. I mean you could reflect the exact same criticism on all the corporate media channels... RT tows a perspective of the Russian foreign policy just as the entire corporate media apparatus tows the perspective of the US establishment."

Study: Bush, aides made 935 false statements in run-up to war.

Take a look at these videos. In this first clip, I felt like I was watching Fox with the one token dissenter.

In the second clip, its just more of the same.

Its safe to say that the corporate media, left or right, has become staunchly pro-war (especially since the year 2000).

Yes, both Russia and US are full of dung.

This is news?

So by extrapolation, these same corporations influence opinion to make people believe that military intervention funded by tax dollars to guard and secure their buddy corporations' "interests" in a "troubled region" is a perfectly normal and acceptable action, even if it leads to or in fact causes war.

These corporations take a known and calculated risk when they make the decision to go into these regions for their profits. Why would they expect their government in the form of military intervention or even diplomacy to bail them out and protect their profits?

So the profits are all theirs but the costs of security are not considered in their risk mitigation or contingency plans because we the people will bail them out? The profits are solely theirs yet protecting them rests on the taxpayers and governments? It this isn't socialism, I don't know what is.

This applied in the middle east. This applies in Ukraine. This applies anywhere any troops are deployed to protect private interests.

This should not be news. Taking even a summary glance at the Cold War period, or the early 00s with the War on Terror, should tell you as much. And now in light of the WikiLeaks disclosures and other recent events, it should be more evident than ever. She should not even have to mention this.

Sadly, that's not the case. Even on this very site, since the start of the Ukraine crisis, people have considerably warmed up to Western MSM. Users are praising its courage and ethical stance. They've been given the benefit of the doubt. What the hell?
