This is one thing that I cannot understand about humanity. Why do the majority of people listen and do what a small number of people think? Is it an evolutionary thing? How did society form in which people have different levels of power?

2) Is this what is keeping humanity behind?

1) Seems to be a fundamental principle governing all life (not just humans).

Does not the nucleus control the cell?

2) Yes because humans are clever enough to exploit it for their own selfish ends.

Hence democracy.

Human are by nature a socialist creatures. They work together but they also need someone to point out a goal, a leader. In reality, the leader should be no more than a person with a goal that would benefit the group, tho, now a days, the leader gets special rights.... leader should be no more than regular person.

Why?

Because it works.

Name a successful society where there was no leader/leaders

The best teams have the best leaders.
Animals have pecking orders, humans are animals. Oh and most people are kind of lazy.

I think most people are lazy due to our current social structure. There is no rewards for handwork, you stay in the same level whether you work or not.

If humans were lazy to start with, we would not get this far.

You think the current system is "working"? No, I disagree friend, I think it's falling apart right before your very eyes. Now, did it work for a while? It worked for the ELITE very well, yes. For the average citizen? Not so much. So, be careful with "Because it works...." comments. That's a very subjective comment. My first question will always be, when people say, "Because it works," is "It works for who?" It certainly doesn't "work" for ME and I seriously doubt it TRULY "works" for YOU either.

Heh, heh, heh.... Beings this thread is essentially a thread about the "elite" or our "leaders", I might as well just make it as plain and simple as I can. When you have a system such as the current system obviously is, where corporations, banks and special interest groups have the ear of our "leaders" rather than the CITIZENRY having it, that system is not "working" for you Thing is, it's a global issue now, not just an American... As long as it was an American issue, it could be hid and disguised... Now that our "leaders" have gotten bold and made almost every sitting "leader" in the world beholden to those things? It's all in the open now..

Minions, and the selfish belief that their survival is more important than the multitude.

But that's not what's being asked.

Fine the current system is broken, but overall, in all of modern human history, it has worked.

It appears I'm looking at this question with a much broader view than our current situation..

I believe it to be the simple fact that the minority is often the group that complains the most and the loudest. I'm sure this has happened in politics relatively frequently, and in many other areas. And rarely does it work out for the best, although in certain cases it might. This is tied in with the political correctness nonsense. A minority of the population decides that the genders male and female are not enough, and thus we have an example of the minority pushing an idea that only affects a small number of people. Something like equality of the races is totally different as well. Take the Civil Rights Movement. It was not like there was only a small percentage of the population pushing for equality and change. No, there was an actual meaningful number of people, and even if there were more people against them than for them, I still don't really consider that a minority of people...since the numbers are so large.

So maybe we should approach each problem individually, because attempting to lump all of the differing instances that could be construed as minority versus majority will only lead to problems. One of the best examples is the "1%" and the politicians as well. They control what goes on in the US, and other countries respectively, much more than many people realize. People do not realize how much of their lives are governed by decisions made by the elite. Take gas prices for instance. Has anyone ever looked at the yearly profits made by these large corporations? It is absolutely astounding to say the least, the amount of PROFIT alone that we are talking about here.

Then think of what a small number of people there truly are in deciding to screw over the population with gas prices. And anyone who would argue that the people are being screwed over, I will say you are wrong, and point to their profits as the only evidence needed to prove my point. But like I said, there are many different examples that could be used, from all walks of life, and from all corners of the country and globe.

Through Violence and killing.

Is this what is keeping humanity behind?

Behind what?

Was humanity in front or ahead of anything to be behind?

We let them. If we had good honest people in charge who didn't have all their little pet programs that are created to make them look better than others, it wouldn't be bad.

It's money. Once they got control of the federal reserve everything else fell into place. Money IS what makes the world go 'round. They bought everybody off, and the ones they couldn't buy off, they paid somebody else to silence them, or replace them with a paid-puppet. Then it spread to academia and everywhere and everything else. If you control the money you control the world and almost everything in it.

Well in todays society we don't want to be deemed racist. So we bow down to the minority. The only minority that will kill us if we don't.

Muslims don't eat pork so we have conceded to the minority to stop serving pork in schools and prisons.

I can't wear a hat into a court of law but muslims think they should be able too. And a full face cover. for drivers license too.

If I am a cab driver, I cannot keep a seeing eye dog out of my cab, but muslims can.

If holding an Arab fest on the streets of Dearborn MI, it is ok to arrest any christians that show up.

Muslims are supposed to be given every right to do what they please, and rightfully so as long as it doesnt break the law. Yet from what I read muslims will not allow jews into the mosque dome of the rock.

There is the minority controlling the majority.

Like it was said, through fear and intimidation.

Everything I wrote is true. The minority of muslims want to control the whole world
