You didnt answer my question.. How can you say america doesnt spend more when your op clearly states other wise?

Pretty GD easy :

Since the US , and China doesn't have the same forms of government, the same taxation, the same regulation that makes products MORE EXPENSIVE or the same MONEY.

Which is the biggest REASON companies move over seas to build products CHEAPER.

I CAN SAY IT GD EASILY since it is the epitome of the 'apples to oranges' comparison.

bankers make more in a day of war then a year of peace
the Chinese government has to hand out the juicy contracts to cronies just like everyone else does

betcha its the same companies selling them military stuff that's selling every one else military stuff
funny how that usually works

Because the numbers for Chinese spending come from the government. The could be spending four or five times that anywhete else and we'd never know.

Guess you missed the comment about the state owning business in China.

Whereas the Military Industrial complex and banks/corporations own the US Government.....bought and paid for through donations. Maybe, instead of bleating about China "taking off the gloves" you should focus on that. If you paid as much attention to waste and corruption at home as you do to China's spending habits...the US would be far better off.

China poses no threat to the US at this point....but there is a very real threat in the US from WITHIN.

China could double their military spending and they still would't come close to what the US spends on defence....so I'd hardly characterize it as "taking the gloves off". When they up their military budget to 680 billion a year...then you can panic.

Given the last 12 years of American illegal wars of agression and the US's love of threatening military intervention anywhere it pleases, it is logical that China would want to look to it's security, and beef up it's military.

Afghanistan was illegal how?

Specifically, what law was violated?

Why ?

Because Eisenhowers speech has been twisted to suit a political agenda ?

I don't think so.

China is building up their military the US cuts its'.

Instead of getting the USA maybe you should be getting us allies to shoulder more of the cost?

USA could cut its budget by half and still be able to protect its mainland. Its the bases over seas and the fact your the primary defence for a lot of countrys.

First of all why is the usa wasting money on isreal, saudi arabia and pakistan when there values and attitudes are not the same as ours?

As for the EU, japan , Taiwan and south korea? Ok the usa shouldnt completly withdraw. But maybe the USA should encourage them to shoulder more of the financial burden of there countrys defence? Plus its not like American are the only ones able to be warriors. A well trained brit, japanese or Australian ect can be just as good as a American.
