Actually, there are many protections to the individual regarding the IRS.
There is a law that prohibits the IRS into forcing a spouse to testify against the other.

But, I am sure the IRS will not need a court proceeding to just ruin your life anyway.

Polygraphs are very easy to beat.

I have to disagree with this. I have about 30 years of experience with this technology. Beating the machine is next to impossible. Beating the interview/examiner may be a different story, but an experienced polygrapher and a calibrated machine ... no way.

There are numerous sites that offer methods of doing so.

The FBI offered training in such a thing. I was able to attend the classes a while ago, and the labs we performed within the classes showed the methods offered were able to beat the polygraph.

Which method of polygraph are we talking about? Heart rate, blood pressure and such can be fooled. Think meditation during questioning, along with a couple of other things.

There are other technologies for doing this, which will monitor truly involuntary body responses.

I would state that people are able to fool the machine more then an investigator.

Anyone else think that tax exempt tea party groups would be a perfect tax shelter. The whole basis for the tea party is lower taxes and " I shouldn't have to pay for that". So who would be more probable to use a nonprofit as a way to keep from paying taxes.

Like say I have a million bucks. At 20% tax rate ( for easy math) I would owe 200k in taxes. If instead I donate it to at tax empty nonprofit. Then they could give me back 900k and keep 100k. I would actually make 100k more then if i didn't donate at all. Who wouldn't wanna donate to a cause they agree with for a profit! So as a political organization your donations would go thru the roof. Heck people that do this make money they arnt giving it to charity.

This is the actual reason the IRS was looking at conservative groups. The entire tea party concept is paying less or no taxes. So obviously you would wanna watch out for tax scams from a political group who hates taxes!

It blows my mind that people on the right are willing to buy into the whole " Obamas a Muslim socialist who wants to destroy America." Garbage. The only reason you would need to find a "birth certificate" style reason to get rid of him. Is if you couldn't win by attacking his policies.

Him lying about how " transparent" his administration would be. Then expanding the NSA. Completely fair.

Blaming him for the death of the ambassador in Benghazi. When worst case he spun the media report after the fact. Makes you all look ridiculous.

That's why my generation (I'm 30) will never buy into conservatism. The attacks y'all put forward are so obviously conspiracy theory bs, we tune y'all out and never hear where your positions are in contrast.

On through the worm holes new episode. A mathematician figured out the "bell" curve on how much longer humanity will believe in religion. He used the same formula you use to see how much longer a language will survive after another language takes over a country. Apperantly there's a breaking point. A point where the majority of people speak the new language and the old one is due to die.

According to this guys math. We only have 30 more years before the majority of the population of the U.S. Is atheist or agnostic. A swap over conservatism won't survive. Every conservative position can be answered by 2 answers. I don't wanna pay for that and the bible told me too. With out religion. I don't think " I don't wanna pay for that cuts it.

Don't know about water boarding, but that's another fair criticism. He has the power to shut down Gitmo. Swore he would, but hasn't.

I just wonder if the anti Obama crowd realises how crazy they look when they throw everything at the wall just to see what sticks.

no. Obama got around that by electing not to take any prisoners who could subsequently be interrogated. consequently we do not have the HUMINT that would normally come from interrogating new prisoners whether by harsh means or not. the inmates at Gitmo do not have any new information and the information they do have is a decade old and of no value. This means that whole plots have been conceived and executed since then without a viable means find out about any that cannot be found out about by electronic wire taps. though the bad guys also know we are monitoring electronic communications and consequently the really serious ones do not coordinate by unencrypted electronic means.

Any government agent should be fired for using the 5th.
They work for us not the administration.

I believe this is a case where she is covering for the Obama administration and will do so till after the midterm elections.

Then in 2016 if she is convicted of a crime for this Obama will pardon her as he leaves office.

I really hate the smug, arrogant look on her face. I hope they find something to put her away for.
